David Bailey became a photographic assistant in 1959 before working for Vogue magazine in 1960. Along with Terence Donovan, he helped capture the "Swinging London" culture through fashion and celebrity photography in the 1960s, socializing with celebrities and becoming celebrities themselves as the first famous celebrity photographers.
