This 3 unit blended course on water resources law introduces fundamental legal principles of water allocation through a combination of in-person and online instruction. Key concepts covered include categories of surface and groundwater rights, management approaches, environmental allocation, and the public trust doctrine. Students gain practical understanding of contemporary water issues and critically examine social policies. The class meets twice a week in person with additional online exercises, lectures and discussions led by Professor Jennifer Harder, an experienced water attorney and law professor.
