high, thus, harmonizing their songs like that of a cymbal, all this brought rain
fall and the little children who have been playing outside scattered into their
various destinations.
Ikenna and chidinma ran as fast as their legs could propel them, since their
own village is just a stone throw from their playing around.Ikenna and
Chidinma are very close friends.Their friendship came as a result of
Ukamaka and Adaugo’s closeness.Ukamaka is Chidinma’s mother,while
Adaugo is ikenna’s mother.Their closeness also came as a result of them
being wives of Obiora and Okoyeagu, members of the cabinet of their king
“Ebubedike”.

playing with my friends at the village field”Ikenna replied rushing to the
kitchen pot to collect water to take his bath,”I know it is chidinma that kept
you out for long” Adaugo said.Ikenna laughed and went straight into the
bathroom to take his bath.
Houses were built with clay and mud during the period and not cement.”Did
you see Ukamaka today?” Adaugo asked,”No”Ikenna replied,” I thought you
are coming from their house?”,Ikenna said.”Ok” Adaugo agreed.
The cold breeze coming from the cool atmosphere mixes with the hot breeze
from Adaugo’s cooking pot thus, making the atmosphere surrounding the
environment to be warm.Adaugo was drying a bush meat on a fire and ready
to prepare a soup.”Hmmm” this place smell so fine what is cooking?
Okoyeagu asked “Oh, I am trying to prepare a fast soup Adaugo replied.
“Good evening daddy” Ikenna greeted his father,”Eghe my son” okoyeagu
replied.” Where were you when I came back?” okoyeagu said leaving the
kitchen and heading towards the sitting room.
Okoyeagu strike his foot against a stone used in wedging the passage door
from closing.”O my God not again” Okoyeagu cried out.”Daddy
sorry”,Ikenna said,”Thank you my son” Okoyeagu replied.Okoyeagu then
told ikenna to get a tissue paper so that he can wipe away the blood and also
the flesh the stone opened on his feet.
“What of Adaora your sister?” okoyeagu asked Ikenna,” She is sleeping in
the bedroom.Ikenna said “You mean Ijeoma has been around since I came
back from work?” Okoyeagu asked,”Is she pregnant?”.” Let is not be”

about the father of the child her daughter is carrying.Adaugo later went into
their sitting room.

she delivered a bouncing baby boy.Adaugo her mother was very happy and
told Adaora that the name of the boy will be called Afoma.
But there was still a piece of puzzle to mend Adaora’s heart and that was the
father of Afoma.Adaora sitting alone with her baby stirring deep in her eyes
wonder who impregnate her that day.Adaora could not believe if someone
