Hannah Wampler is a student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology. She will complete her degree in July 2016. She has experience working in customer service roles at Mapes Industries, Bed Bath & Beyond, and currently at McKinney's Irish Pub. Wampler has played soccer for UNO and was named to all-conference teams. o Duties included answering phone calls, filing, running errands, drafting correspondents,
processing mail, and other duties as assigned.
o I loved working at Mapes, although it took me out of my comfort zone. This was my
first job, and I had never interacted with people in a workplace, or with the public in a
professional environment. I really enjoyed this job because of the people with whom I
worked, and the client relationships I established. Answering the phone gave me
confidence to meet new people and the ability to interact with customers.
Bed, Bath and Beyond, Omaha, NE
o Position: Sales Associate - June 2015 - July 2015
o Duties included customer service, product knowledge and sales, operating a cash
register, moving inventory, stocking, preparing the store for closing in the evening, and
other duties as assigned.
o This was my first sales job, and it gave me an opportunity to learn the position of a sales
associate. I gained product knowledge, and was able to advise customers when asked
about different products within the store.
2. McKinney’s Irish Pub, Lincoln, NE
o Position: Server - June 2016 to Present
o Duties include waiting tables, serving food and beverages, interact with customers,
having product knowledge, knowledge of iPad usage, cleaning and preparing the bar for
evening closing and other duties as assigned.
o Although this is my current part-time job, I love it because of all the customer
interaction. I'm learning about the company and their products and I meet new people
all the time. While I enjoy the work atmosphere, I don't plan on making this my career.
