2. • Wash your hands for at least 40-
60 seconds
(Need a timer? Recite the “Happy
Birthday” song from beginning to
end which will be equal to 10
seconds).

3. 1. Wet your hands with clean,
running water (warm or cold), turn
off the tap.

4. 2. Apply enough soap to cover all
hand surfaces.

5. 3. Lather your hands by rubbing
hands palm to palm.

6. 4. Lather the backs of your hands
and between your fingers by
rubbing right palm over left
dorsum with interlaced fingers
and vice versa.

7. 5. Rub Palm to palm with fingers
interlaced.

8. 6. Rub Backs of fingers to
opposing palms with fingers
interlocked.

9. 7. Rub clockwise and anti-
clockwise the left thumb clasped
in right palm and vice versa.

10. 8. Lather under your nails by
rotational rubbing clockwise and
anti-clockwise with clasped fingers
of right hand in left palm and vice
versa.

11. 9. Rub clockwise and anti-
clockwise the wrist of left hand
clasped in right palm and vice
versa.

12. 10. Rinse hands with water.

13. 11. Dry hands properly.
