A 57-year-old male smoker presented with hoarseness of voice for 1.5 years but no other symptoms like stridor or dysphagia. His medical history included hypertension and inguinal hernia surgery. A biopsy of a lesion on his vocal cords from September 2023 found verrucous squamous cell carcinoma. On examination, his laryngeal click was intact with healthy skin overlying the vocal cords and no palpable lymph nodes. A CT scan from September also provided information about his condition.
