Halloween is an annual festival celebrated on October 31st in the United States. On this day, children dress up in costumes and masks and go trick-or-treating by going door-to-door asking for treats like candy or fruit. Many also carve jack-o-lanterns from pumpkins and engage in fortunetelling and storytelling about ghosts and witches. The main activity for children is trick-or-treating, which involves dressing up and going from neighbor to neighbor to receive treats so they don't play tricks.
