The Map turtle and Scarlet Ibis habitats are located indoors at the local zoo. This protects the animals from severe weather. The Map turtle habitat is placed inside the reptile house wall, three feet off the ground in a glass tank. The Scarlet Ibis habitat takes up half the bird house wall and consists of an enclosed room. Both habitats allow for safe public viewing while providing privacy and required lighting, temperature, and food/water conditions for the animals. Medical treatment is available upstairs if needed.
