Ever since the advent of life on planet Earth…
man has learnt to live and adapt himself to the
ever changing environment. However
somewhere down this journey of human
evolution terms like Humans & Humanity have
lost their meaning and have been replaced by
insanity, selfishness and greed.
Human development radar sweeps across a wide
spectrum of issues… Some social scientists argue
that Human development is about putting people
at the centre of development. According to them
it is a matter of making people realize their
potential, increasing their choices and enjoying
the freedom to lead lives. And the purpose of
development is to enlarge all human choices, not
just income but to create an economic and
political environment where people can expand
their human capabilities.
The aim of our organization to make people
human. To wake them up, sensitize them and
make them feel the pain, suffering and sorrow of
fellow human beings and to help them discover
their basic human values. You might call us a
factory, processing people, churning out human
beings.
We envision a future where each and every
individual or group is able and free to participate
in all spheres of society, based on universally
accepted principles and standards of human
rights, values and democratic freedoms for all in
a holistic development process.

As the Dalai Lama spelt out, “I believe that
humanity must develop a greater sense of
Universal Responsibility. Each of us must learn to
work not just for our individual self, family or
nation, but for the benefit of all mankind.”
Help 4 Human Research & Development (H4HRD)
is an award-winning international non-profitable,
philanthropist, non-governmental humanitarian
organization (NGO) with no religious or political
affiliations. It is independent of any government,
political ideology, or religious creed. It is a non-
sectarian, non-ethnic and non-discriminatory
organization.
H4HRD was recently awarded Defender of
Humanity Award 2011 at a glitzy function
organised by the All Indian Achievers Conference
at Mumbai.
H4HRD stands for securing human rights for all,
as well as conserving and restoring Mother Earth.
Our priorities include continuous and sustained
efforts to:
• Improve the quality of life of the people
• Eliminate poverty, unemployment & illiteracy
• Abolish Hunger, malnutrition, diseases,
economic and social displacement
• Provide proper guidance and quality medicare
to those in need.
• Promote equality and justice, and campaign
for human rights
• Provide opportunity, security &
empowerment to weaker section of society

Our mission is to contribute to holistic human
development efforts and to serve the whole
humanity. As dutiful sons and daughters of
Mother Earth we are committed to protecting
the environmental rights of all people, including
future generations. Among these rights are
access to clean air and water, healthy and
nourishing food, and flourishing ecosystems.
H4HRD’s aim is to capacitate and empower
women and children particularly girls and to
support their full participation in the political,
social, and economic development to fulfill their
aspirations for better living opportunities and
basic amenities.

• A healthy planet with-- good life with dignity
for everyone on it.
• A peaceful, just, pollution-free, crime-free
and disease-free world full of knowledge,
hope, tolerance and compassion where
justice is delivered at the doorstep of the
consumer and no one is deprived of basic
human needs like food, shelter or clothing. In
fact, everyone has equal opportunities of
earning their daily bread and access to clean
water and sanitation.
• To energize the lives and spread happiness in
the homes of the faceless and
underprivileged masses of India.
• We see our role as a caring, friendly and non-
partisan helping hand for sharing an
opportunity to people to educate themselves,
stay healthy, earn a decent, dignified living,
raise healthy families, and participate in
democratic life. Above all our endeavor is to
achieve social, economic and environmental
justice.
It is better to light one small candle than to
curse the darkness… This is in keeping with the
phrase, nothing gained unless ventured—in other
words, it’s next to impossible to reach the final
destination unless we take the first initial step.
All this is based on the eternal truth that God
helps those who help themselves.
H4HRD, envisions a future where each and every
individual or group is able and free to participate
in all spheres of society, based on universally
accepted principles and standards of human
rights, values and democratic freedoms in a
holistic development process.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: To ensure a healthy and bountiful
Planet- for sustainable development and wellbeing of all
humans. We want a healthy and smiling planet a life worth
living—anywhere, everywhere.
THE PROBLEM—lies with the people’s attitude toward
the environment. In their hectic and busy lifestyle many
people rarely pay heed to maintaining the equilibrium of
the planet and take steps to eliminate the threats of
pollution. Some people also have the tendency of
throwing waste on the streets. While doing so they forget
that the same waste besides polluting the environment
can foster a large number of bugs and mosquitoes which
cause fatal diseases. The point to be considered is that
large amount of the waste materials which people regard
as utterly useless can be recycled.
THE SOLUTION: -an ecological battle to save Planet Earth.
This is the need of the hour for the very survival of Earth
and all living things. Our strategic objective is to reverse
global destruction and limit the adverse effects of climate
change through policy level advocacy, social networking,
communication, awareness generation, education,
motivation and empowerment of the people. Our
ultimate goal is to expand human knowledge and benefit
society through research and awareness generation.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: To improve the country’s
healthcare delivery machinery, ease the pain, save lives
and improve the living conditions of the people craving
for standardized and quality Medicare….
THE PROBLEM—
• Every year nearly one million Indians die due to
inadequate healthcare facilities This includes
around 2.2 million infants and 450 mothers per
100,000 live births – who die due to avoidable
pregnancy related causes.
• Every 5 minutes one woman dies from a
pregnancy-related cause in India
• 65 % of population-- 700 million people do not
have access to modern medicine or any
specialized care.
• There is only 1 doctor, for every 10,000 Indians.
• About 80 % doctors, 75 % dispensaries and 60 %
hospitals are located in urban areas
THE SOLUTION — lies in providing high-quality,
affordable, primary and multi specialty healthcare at the
doorsteps of villagers in rural India who are in dire need
of quality medical treatment. The philosophy behind this
is to bring new and proven medical technologies and
treatment methods to the doorstep of the common man
in India who could not afford to travel and access latest
treatments available worldwide. The benefits include
relief from unnecessary suffering, pain and prevention of
hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths.
THE SUB-MISSIONS:
• Taskforce on E-health & EMR
• Taskforce on Communicable & Dreaded diseases
• Taskforce on Non-Communicable diseases
• Taskforce on HIV-HCV co-infection
• Taskforce on Continuing Medical Education
• Taskforce on Paramedical Staff sensitization

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: Strengthen, protect and sustain the
rule of law for human and economic development in a fair,
just, secular, democratic and humanitarian society which
respects human rights and human dignity in all walks of life, as
well as support frameworks for legal, judicial and
constitutional reforms to ensure freedom, equality and
prosperity in true sense for every Indian.
THE PROBLEM: Even though the British have left—
hangover of the British Raj continues to loom over the
Indian legal system. The Indian judicial system still lacks
the resources to meet the needs of India's more than 1
billion citizens. The state of affairs of the Indian legal
system attracted, Supreme Court bench of Justices B N
Aggrawal and G S Singhvi to comment, "Even God will not
be able to save this country. In India even if God comes
down he cannot change our country. Our country's
character has gone. We are helpless."
THE SOLUTION: lies in what Justice D A Desai, Chairman,
11th Law Commission of India said many years ago, “Like
any soap or toothpaste... Justice too is a consumer
product of an industry called Judges & Lawyers
Combine….Just like a salesperson goes door to door to
sell his product….justice should be dispenced at the
doorstep of the people who are its consumers.” To do so
all the stakeholder need to strengthen the rule of law and
mobilize public awareness on issues of public importance
like injustice, inequalities & corruption. This is beside
promotion of legal awareness and literacy among weak,
down-trodden and poor for social and economic justice
as well as encourage, informing and influencing public
debate on issues affecting legal and democratic rights.
THE SUB-MISSIONS:
• Taskforce on Archiach & redundant laws
• Taskforce on free legal aid for poor & needy people
• Taskforce on public interest litigation
• Taskforce on consumer laws
• Taskforce on Continuing legal Education
Mission Law & Human Rights: Justice – at
doorstep of the Citizen
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: To work for the overall welfare and
empowerment of the poor, particularly women and
children. And to provide guidance about good health and
nutrition and make them aware of their rights and duties
and bring about sustainable improvements in four key
areas: health, nutrition, education & child protection.
THE PROBLEM: For a healthy family, it is important that
each member is strong and healthy. Yet as many as 2.8
million children and 300,000 women die every year
because of malnutrition in developing countries. Besides
social discrimination and poor health women have to
undergo the trauma of rape, female foeticide, dowry
deaths, child marriage and sexual harassment. Likewise
children are the primary assets of any country. Children’s
Development is as important as the development of
material resources and the best way to develop national
human resources is to take care of children. When it
comes to that India has the largest child population in the
world. This notwithstanding, majority of children
experience underprivileged childhood starting from birth.
The infant mortality rate of Indian children is 50 and the
under-five mortality rate is 93. 25% of newborn children
are underweight among other nutritional, immunization
and educational deficiencies of children in India.
THE SOLUTION- No nation can progress unless all the
segments and strata’s of the society are educated, enjoy
equal rights and move hand in hand to partner in each
other’s progress. It is sometimes said educate a boy and
you educate an individual but when you educate a girl
she contributes to the wellbeing and betterment of the
family and society at large.
THE SUB-MISSIONS:
• Task force on Legal Advice on Crime against Women
• Task force on gender sensitivity & women’s issues
• Task force on girl child
• Task force against bonded labour & child rights

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: work towards establishment of an
alternate policing system where the police is not something to
be feared in the public-eye and evolve an effective means of
bridging the gap between the police and the public.
THE PROBLEM: the police have an important role to play
in maintaining law and order and a crime-free society.
Despite this the crime rate is increasing every year. The
main reason for this is that the number of policemen is
grossly insufficient. In such situation the police cannot
possibly control the crime easily. Another reason for the
increasing crime is the lack of faith of the public on the
police. Many people do not even the crime out of fear of
the police or simply because of the belief that police
might be hand-in-glove with the criminals. Both the
reasons are justified. The situation is worse in rural areas.
THE SOLUTION- Blaming system and police is not the
solution of this problem. What can police do when it does
not get the report of the crime? There are not enough
police personnel to provide safety to each and every
person. The government also has some limitations due to
which it can not increase the strength of police and forces
beyond a limit. Keeping all these things in mind, a change
in the policing system is the need of the hour. Community
policing is a philosophy that promotes organizational
strategies, which support the systematic use of partnerships
and problem-solving techniques, to proactively address the
immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such
as crime, social disorder, and fear of crime. It seeks to develop
collaborative partnerships between the law enforcement
agency and public individuals and organizations to solve
problems and improve their confidence in the criminal
justice system and the police in particular. Needless to
say the fear of the police in people’s minds is replaced by
a genuine respect and overall image of the police
improves.
THE SUB-MISSIONS:
• Task force on Friends Of Police
• Task force on Crime Prevention
• Task force on Traffic & the Common Man
Mission Crimewatch: Community Policing for
crime prevention

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: social, educational and economic
development and empowerment of the disadvantaged and
marginalized sections of the society like Scheduled Castes,
Backward Classes , Persons with Disabilities & Senior Citizens.
THE PROBLEM: Despite the fact that untouchability or
discriminating based on caste is legally forbidden--
previously called the "depressed classes" by the British--
the SCs/STs together comprising over 24% of India's
population continue to bear the brunt of social
discrimination in one form or another. Although the
preamble of the constitution promises JUSTICE, social,
economic and political for all its citizens. In addition to
this there are many fundamental and other rights
promised in the constitution like- Prohibition of traffic in
human beings and forced labour and prohibition of
employment of children in factories- the people from the
lower castes have still not been able to break the barriers
of their caste. A recent survey investigating the extent of
“untouchability” in 565 villages in 11 Indian states found
that “untouchability” was still practiced in almost 80 % of
the villages. Even Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
commented : “Dalits have faced a unique discrimination
in our society that is fundamentally different from the
problems of minority groups in general. The only parallel
to the practice of ‘untouchability’ was Apartheid in South
Africa. Untouchability is not just social discrimination. It is
a blot on humanity.”
THE SOLUTION- lies in implementing laws and
government policies to secure protection and
development of Dalits, and women in particular.
THE SUB-MISSIONS:
• Task force on empowering people with disabilities
• Task force on Equal justice and free legal aid
• Task force on preventing traffic in human beings
and forced labour
• Task Force for promoting educational & economic
interests of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes
and other weaker sections
Mission Empowerment & Social Justice -

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: collaboration and coordination
between government, non-government, non-profit, and
business sector to ensure that all children—regardless of
socioeconomic diversity—have access to quality education to
lead empowered and productive lives.
THE PROBLEM: It is a paradox that on one had we have
the second largest education system in the world yet less
than one third of the over 100 crore people in India are
able to read or write. World’s 30% illiterate population
comes from India. To top it all we have the lowest
enrollment (China 99%, India 92%) and the highest drop
out rate in the world. Many student of rural area receive
a poor education and more of them leave the school
before the 5th standard. A large number of teachers
refuse to teach in rural areas and those that do are
usually under-qualified. Almost 60 % of girls in rural areas
are not educated. It is still not being realized that there is
definite connection between education, good
motherhood and efficient house management.
THE SOLUTION- Democracy without education is
meaningless. It is education and not freedom that makes
a nation great. "A state may pass a law, making education
compulsory but unless people accept such laws, no state
can enforce them by military or police measures." For this
to happen for one, the state legislatures shouldn’t
micromanage the classroom.
THE SUB-MISSIONS:
• Task force for educating children with special needs
• Task force on training the trainers
• Task force on skill based learning for children & girls
from underpriviledged sections of the society
• Task force on non formal education
• Task Force on Functional & Adult Literacy
• Task force on educating the girl child

PROJECT NAYANSUKH
To raise awareness among the poor and helpless people
with low-vision, blindness and other eye-disorders in the
western UP. Over 90% of these visually impaired people
live in developing countries like India.
PROJECT MUSKAN
According to an estimate 6 to 10% of children in India are born
disabled and roughly one-third of the disabled include children.
The objective of this Project was to bring Smile &
Happiness in the lives of poor & unfortunate children with
physical & mental disabilities. Disability specialists believe
that early interventions like stimulation, targeted exercises,
therapy, orientation and sign language -- can arrest and
diminish the effects of disability in children.
AAKIRI SALAAM PROGRAM:
Everyday so many unclaimed bodies are found near the
railway track or on the footpaths of Delhi. In addition to
this there are people who cannot afford to pay for the last
rites of their near and dear ones. For the last two years
we have been running this program by making small
contributions wherever we can to pay for the last rights
as per their religious practice- Source of funds: personal

Topic: Diabetes Is Not A Disease Of Blood Sugar
millennia, diabetes has been considered to be a disease of high
blood sugar. Despite centuries of scientific progress, including
the discovery of insulin and, more recently, leptin, that myth
still prevails. The actual purpose of insulin is widely
misunderstood even in the medical community.
It is a disease of insulin. Many of the speakers concluded
that elevated blood sugar is merely the symptom of
diabetes, not its cause. The disease itself is one of
metabolic miscommunication. Diabetes, Cancer, Stroke,
Hypertension etc are all just symptoms. They are not the
disease. There is no "cure" for a symptom, you can only
"control" or lessen it. And the source of the symptom is
never fixed, or even treated.

h4h report 80g

  • 1. Page 1 of 15 Ever since the advent of life on planet Earth… man has learnt to live and adapt himself to the ever changing environment. However somewhere down this journey of human evolution terms like Humans & Humanity have lost their meaning and have been replaced by insanity, selfishness and greed. Human development radar sweeps across a wide spectrum of issues… Some social scientists argue that Human development is about putting people at the centre of development. According to them it is a matter of making people realize their potential, increasing their choices and enjoying the freedom to lead lives. And the purpose of development is to enlarge all human choices, not just income but to create an economic and political environment where people can expand their human capabilities. The aim of our organization to make people human. To wake them up, sensitize them and make them feel the pain, suffering and sorrow of fellow human beings and to help them discover their basic human values. You might call us a factory, processing people, churning out human beings. We envision a future where each and every individual or group is able and free to participate in all spheres of society, based on universally accepted principles and standards of human rights, values and democratic freedoms for all in a holistic development process.
  • 2. Page 2 of 15 As the Dalai Lama spelt out, “I believe that humanity must develop a greater sense of Universal Responsibility. Each of us must learn to work not just for our individual self, family or nation, but for the benefit of all mankind.” Help 4 Human Research & Development (H4HRD) is an award-winning international non-profitable, philanthropist, non-governmental humanitarian organization (NGO) with no religious or political affiliations. It is independent of any government, political ideology, or religious creed. It is a non- sectarian, non-ethnic and non-discriminatory organization. H4HRD was recently awarded Defender of Humanity Award 2011 at a glitzy function organised by the All Indian Achievers Conference at Mumbai. H4HRD stands for securing human rights for all, as well as conserving and restoring Mother Earth. Our priorities include continuous and sustained efforts to: • Improve the quality of life of the people • Eliminate poverty, unemployment & illiteracy • Abolish Hunger, malnutrition, diseases, economic and social displacement • Provide proper guidance and quality medicare to those in need. • Promote equality and justice, and campaign for human rights • Provide opportunity, security & empowerment to weaker section of society • Promote Good health, happiness, harmony, peace and Prosperity for all.
  • 3. Page 3 of 15 Our mission is to contribute to holistic human development efforts and to serve the whole humanity. As dutiful sons and daughters of Mother Earth we are committed to protecting the environmental rights of all people, including future generations. Among these rights are access to clean air and water, healthy and nourishing food, and flourishing ecosystems. H4HRD’s aim is to capacitate and empower women and children particularly girls and to support their full participation in the political, social, and economic development to fulfill their aspirations for better living opportunities and basic amenities. H4HRD’s aim is to capacitate and empower women and children particularly girls and to support their full participation in the political, social, and economic development to fulfill their aspirations for better living opportunities and basic amenities. • A healthy planet with-- good life with dignity for everyone on it. • A peaceful, just, pollution-free, crime-free and disease-free world full of knowledge, hope, tolerance and compassion where justice is delivered at the doorstep of the consumer and no one is deprived of basic human needs like food, shelter or clothing. In fact, everyone has equal opportunities of earning their daily bread and access to clean water and sanitation. • To energize the lives and spread happiness in the homes of the faceless and underprivileged masses of India.
  • 4. Page 4 of 15 • We see our role as a caring, friendly and non- partisan helping hand for sharing an opportunity to people to educate themselves, stay healthy, earn a decent, dignified living, raise healthy families, and participate in democratic life. Above all our endeavor is to achieve social, economic and environmental justice. It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness… This is in keeping with the phrase, nothing gained unless ventured—in other words, it’s next to impossible to reach the final destination unless we take the first initial step. All this is based on the eternal truth that God helps those who help themselves. H4HRD, envisions a future where each and every individual or group is able and free to participate in all spheres of society, based on universally accepted principles and standards of human rights, values and democratic freedoms in a holistic development process. H4HRD, stands for securing human rights for all, as well as conserving and restoring our precious Mother Earth.

  • 6. Page 6 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: To ensure a healthy and bountiful Planet- for sustainable development and wellbeing of all humans. We want a healthy and smiling planet a life worth living—anywhere, everywhere. THE PROBLEM—lies with the people’s attitude toward the environment. In their hectic and busy lifestyle many people rarely pay heed to maintaining the equilibrium of the planet and take steps to eliminate the threats of pollution. Some people also have the tendency of throwing waste on the streets. While doing so they forget that the same waste besides polluting the environment can foster a large number of bugs and mosquitoes which cause fatal diseases. The point to be considered is that large amount of the waste materials which people regard as utterly useless can be recycled. THE SOLUTION: -an ecological battle to save Planet Earth. This is the need of the hour for the very survival of Earth and all living things. Our strategic objective is to reverse global destruction and limit the adverse effects of climate change through policy level advocacy, social networking, communication, awareness generation, education, motivation and empowerment of the people. Our ultimate goal is to expand human knowledge and benefit society through research and awareness generation. THE SUB-MISSIONS: • Taskforce on Water Supply and Sanitation • Taskforce on Energy & Sustainability • Taskforce on Alternate Energy • Taskforce on Clean air • Taskforce on Green Living • Taskforce on Climate & Ecology • Taskforce on Waste Management • Taskforce on Environmental Justice & Green laws • Taskforce on Awareness Generation and Capacity Building Mission Earth: Environment and Sustainable Development
  • 7. Page 7 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: To improve the country’s healthcare delivery machinery, ease the pain, save lives and improve the living conditions of the people craving for standardized and quality Medicare…. THE PROBLEM— • Every year nearly one million Indians die due to inadequate healthcare facilities This includes around 2.2 million infants and 450 mothers per 100,000 live births – who die due to avoidable pregnancy related causes. • Every 5 minutes one woman dies from a pregnancy-related cause in India • 65 % of population-- 700 million people do not have access to modern medicine or any specialized care. • There is only 1 doctor, for every 10,000 Indians. • About 80 % doctors, 75 % dispensaries and 60 % hospitals are located in urban areas THE SOLUTION — lies in providing high-quality, affordable, primary and multi specialty healthcare at the doorsteps of villagers in rural India who are in dire need of quality medical treatment. The philosophy behind this is to bring new and proven medical technologies and treatment methods to the doorstep of the common man in India who could not afford to travel and access latest treatments available worldwide. The benefits include relief from unnecessary suffering, pain and prevention of hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths. THE SUB-MISSIONS: • Taskforce on E-health & EMR • Taskforce on Communicable & Dreaded diseases • Taskforce on Non-Communicable diseases • Taskforce on HIV-HCV co-infection • Taskforce on Continuing Medical Education • Taskforce on Paramedical Staff sensitization • Taskforce on Community Health Communication Mission Health: Affordable, healthcare & wellness for All
  • 8. Page 8 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: Strengthen, protect and sustain the rule of law for human and economic development in a fair, just, secular, democratic and humanitarian society which respects human rights and human dignity in all walks of life, as well as support frameworks for legal, judicial and constitutional reforms to ensure freedom, equality and prosperity in true sense for every Indian. THE PROBLEM: Even though the British have left— hangover of the British Raj continues to loom over the Indian legal system. The Indian judicial system still lacks the resources to meet the needs of India's more than 1 billion citizens. The state of affairs of the Indian legal system attracted, Supreme Court bench of Justices B N Aggrawal and G S Singhvi to comment, "Even God will not be able to save this country. In India even if God comes down he cannot change our country. Our country's character has gone. We are helpless." THE SOLUTION: lies in what Justice D A Desai, Chairman, 11th Law Commission of India said many years ago, “Like any soap or toothpaste... Justice too is a consumer product of an industry called Judges & Lawyers Combine….Just like a salesperson goes door to door to sell his product….justice should be dispenced at the doorstep of the people who are its consumers.” To do so all the stakeholder need to strengthen the rule of law and mobilize public awareness on issues of public importance like injustice, inequalities & corruption. • 9. Page 9 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: To work for the overall welfare and empowerment of the poor, particularly women and children. And to provide guidance about good health and nutrition and make them aware of their rights and duties and bring about sustainable improvements in four key areas: health, nutrition, education & child protection. THE PROBLEM: For a healthy family, it is important that each member is strong and healthy. Yet as many as 2.8 million children and 300,000 women die every year because of malnutrition in developing countries. Besides social discrimination and poor health women have to undergo the trauma of rape, female foeticide, dowry deaths, child marriage and sexual harassment. Likewise children are the primary assets of any country. Children’s Development is as important as the development of material resources and the best way to develop national human resources is to take care of children. When it comes to that India has the largest child population in the world. This notwithstanding, majority of children experience underprivileged childhood starting from birth. The infant mortality rate of Indian children is 50 and the under-five mortality rate is 93. 25% of newborn children are underweight among other nutritional, immunization and educational deficiencies of children in India. THE SOLUTION- No nation can progress unless all the segments and strata’s of the society are educated, enjoy equal rights and move hand in hand to partner in each other’s progress. It is sometimes said educate a boy and you educate an individual but when you educate a girl she contributes to the wellbeing and betterment of the family and society at large. • 10. Page 10 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: work towards establishment of an alternate policing system where the police is not something to be feared in the public-eye and evolve an effective means of bridging the gap between the police and the public. THE PROBLEM: the police have an important role to play in maintaining law and order and a crime-free society. Despite this the crime rate is increasing every year. The main reason for this is that the number of policemen is grossly insufficient. In such situation the police cannot possibly control the crime easily. Another reason for the increasing crime is the lack of faith of the public on the police. Many people do not even the crime out of fear of the police or simply because of the belief that police might be hand-in-glove with the criminals. Both the reasons are justified. The situation is worse in rural areas. THE SOLUTION- Blaming system and police is not the solution of this problem. What can police do when it does not get the report of the crime? There are not enough police personnel to provide safety to each and every person. The government also has some limitations due to which it can not increase the strength of police and forces beyond a limit. Keeping all these things in mind, a change in the policing system is the need of the hour. Community policing is a philosophy that promotes organizational strategies, which support the systematic use of partnerships and problem-solving techniques, to proactively address the immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as crime, social disorder, and fear of crime. It seeks to develop collaborative partnerships between the law enforcement agency and public individuals and organizations to solve problems and improve their confidence in the criminal justice system and the police in particular. Needless to say the fear of the police in people’s minds is replaced by a genuine respect and overall image of the police improves. THE SUB-MISSIONS: • Task force on Friends Of Police • Task force on Crime Prevention • Task force on Traffic & the Common Man Mission Crimewatch: Community Policing for crime prevention
  • 11. Page 11 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: social, educational and economic development and empowerment of the disadvantaged and marginalized sections of the society like Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes , Persons with Disabilities & Senior Citizens. THE PROBLEM: Despite the fact that untouchability or discriminating based on caste is legally forbidden-- previously called the "depressed classes" by the British-- the SCs/STs together comprising over 24% of India's population continue to bear the brunt of social discrimination in one form or another. Although the preamble of the constitution promises JUSTICE, social, economic and political for all its citizens. In addition to this there are many fundamental and other rights promised in the constitution like- Prohibition of traffic in human beings and forced labour and prohibition of employment of children in factories- the people from the lower castes have still not been able to break the barriers of their caste. A recent survey investigating the extent of “untouchability” in 565 villages in 11 Indian states found that “untouchability” was still practiced in almost 80 % of the villages. Even Prime Minister Manmohan Singh commented : “Dalits have faced a unique discrimination in our society that is fundamentally different from the problems of minority groups in general. The only parallel to the practice of ‘untouchability’ was Apartheid in South Africa. Untouchability is not just social discrimination. It is a blot on humanity.” THE SOLUTION- lies in implementing laws and government policies to secure protection and development of Dalits, and women in particular. THE SUB-MISSIONS: • Task force on empowering people with disabilities • Task force on Equal justice and free legal aid • Task force on preventing traffic in human beings and forced labour • Task Force for promoting educational & economic interests of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other weaker sections Mission Empowerment & Social Justice - Social, Economic & Political Justice
  • 12. Page 12 of 15 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: collaboration and coordination between government, non-government, non-profit, and business sector to ensure that all children—regardless of socioeconomic diversity—have access to quality education to lead empowered and productive lives. THE PROBLEM: It is a paradox that on one had we have the second largest education system in the world yet less than one third of the over 100 crore people in India are able to read or write. World’s 30% illiterate population comes from India. To top it all we have the lowest enrollment (China 99%, India 92%) and the highest drop out rate in the world. Many student of rural area receive a poor education and more of them leave the school before the 5th standard. A large number of teachers refuse to teach in rural areas and those that do are usually under-qualified. Almost 60 % of girls in rural areas are not educated. It is still not being realized that there is definite connection between education, good motherhood and efficient house management. THE SOLUTION- Democracy without education is meaningless. It is education and not freedom that makes a nation great. "A state may pass a law, making education compulsory but unless people accept such laws, no state can enforce them by military or police measures." For this to happen for one, the state legislatures shouldn’t micromanage the classroom. THE SUB-MISSIONS: • Task force for educating children with special needs • Task force on training the trainers • Task force on skill based learning for children & girls from underpriviledged sections of the society • Task force on non formal education • Task Force on Functional & Adult Literacy • Task force on educating the girl child Mission Education - Functional Literacy for All

Despite centuries of scientific progress, including the discovery of insulin and, more recently, leptin, that myth still prevails. The actual purpose of insulin is widely misunderstood even in the medical community. It is a disease of insulin. Many of the speakers concluded that elevated blood sugar is merely the symptom of diabetes, not its cause. The disease itself is one of metabolic miscommunication. Diabetes, Cancer, Stroke, Hypertension etc are all just symptoms. They are not the disease. There is no "cure" for a symptom, you can only "control" or lessen it. And the source of the symptom is never fixed, or even treated. Page 14 of 15 uniforms to children of poor and needy families and slums of Delhi.
