But to say that owning a gun is evil or doesn't do good is not true. In fact, as firearm sales increased in the past few years, crimes involving guns have dropped.
There are evidences suggesting that when law-abiding citizens own guns, the bad guys might be afraid to commit heinous crimes. So does it mean it's good to own gun? Does it mean that law-abiding should have guns to lessen the crimes? If all people own a gun, what would be the downsides? Yes, there are downsides.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

My opinion on gun control is not whether we need more or less legislation, but more
about what we need to do to fix all the unwanted murders by guns. First, I would ban automatic,
semiautomatic weapons, and assault rifles, because the less amount of bullets that can be fired
the better. I would also make psychiatric examinations mandatory for obtaining a gun license and
gun, because many guns get into the hands of mentally unstable people. I know people say they
do not want their personal mental stability to be known by people, but half the people who say
it’s their privacy do not even have an interest in getting a gun anyway. You never know if you
can kill someone until the time of when you could happens, and most people who get a gun
cannot even think about taking someone’s life that quickly even in self defense cases.
