Slide 2-Characteristics: A characteristic of math and science is critical thinking. Being able to
apply the reasoning behind math into science, and science into math keeps these two subjects
going hand-in-hand.As an educator you must apply technology into math and science and be
able to make an effective impact on your students.
Importance: “Literary science, mathematics, and technology is not an option for the citizens of
the 21st century.” Math and science are required in almost every career. It is very important that
we teach our students the importance of the subject and that we find good ways to teach them
and to get them interested in the matter.
Role in 21st Century Education: Incorporate a more digital experience for our students. We live
in a society full of technology. If we do not learn how it works and learn to apply it to our
students for better understanding then the test scores will continue to drop.
