 Love the environment, the animals, humans, future generations

 Have compassion towards climate victims, trees, ocean coral
reefs and ecosystems.以慈悲心对待气候灾民 ,树木,海洋珊瑚
礁和生态系统。
 Renounce greed for things you don’t need: meat, extra clothes,
cars, houses, live simply. 捨贪欲, 不贪婪非生存必需品:肉、额
外的衣服、汽车、房子; 简朴地生活。

 Be the voice for our future generations for harmonious co-
existence with earth, spread the awareness and knowledge of
environmentalism by 声援我们下一代以便与地球和谐共存,通

 Being harmonious, have a sense of proper place and time to say it,

 The positive precepts 正面戒
 Loving-kindness towards all beings 对一切众生慈爱
 Meatless Mondays, go flexitarian, or vegetarian or vegan. Offer only
vegetarian or vegan food to Sangha 无肉星期一,成为弹性素食者
,奶蛋素食者或纯素食者。只提供素食或纯素食品给僧伽
 Generosity: we all share the environment, don’t take more than
necessary:慷慨:我们都共享环境, 采用不超过所需要的
 Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle! Save Electricity, Water, Resources,
Take public transport whenever possible, Reduce unnecessary flights (spend
your holidays in meditation retreat locally in Singapore/Malaysia, more
relaxing!) 拒绝,减少,再利用,维修,回收!节约用电,水,资源,乘坐公共
交通工具,尽可能减少不必要的航班(在当地新加坡/马来西亚的禅修营度过假
期,更轻松!)

 Ensure our jobs are aligned to the sustainable planet we aim to
create or make your job/company/industry green! 确保我们的职
业都符合可持续星球的目标,或使你的工作/公司/行业更绿!
 Farmer: Don’t burn forests 农民:不燃烧森林
 Politicians: Don’t support bills that has negative environmental impact,
push for bills that protects environment 政治家:反对具有对环境有负
面影响的法案,推动保护环境的法案
 Business owners: make sure your business has zero/ minimal carbon
footprint as much as you can, hire green officer 生意经营者:确保您的
企业有零或最小的碳排放量,聘请环保官员
 Office workers: Start small scale office recycling, off PC/screens 上班

GREEN MINDFULNESS
绿念
 Mindful consumption 正念消费
 Body: Mindfulness of what we eat, choices to protect the environment
is made on every meal. Mindfulness of what we buy, product
companies’ carbon footprint 身:对食物的正念, 知觉的用餐,保护环境
的抉择就在于每一餐 。对购物和商品的正念,知晓商品厂家的碳排放
量
 Feelings: Mindful of our response to environmental news, not letting
ourselves to go into despair or false sense of security 受: 我们对环境
新闻的反应需正念,而不是让自己去陷入绝望或虚假的安全感
 Mind: Mindful of our thoughts, put forth effort to make it green. Mindful
of our habits, develop green habits 心:对思惟的正念,培养绿精進。
对我们的习惯有正念,养成环保习惯
 World: Mindful of the developments of climate change, petition,
interdependence 法:对气候变化的发展趋势有正念,请愿,互为緣起
GREEN MEDITATION
绿定
 Meditation takes less energy (compared to TV, radio, computer,
video games), with eight precepts, one less meal. Saving
energy 禅修需要较少的能源(相比于电视,收音机 ,电脑,电
子游戏),与八戒,少一餐。节省能源
 Calm and cool mind, useful for the more frequent climate
disasters 镇定和冷静的心念,有助于面对更频繁的气候灾害
 Developing insight for removal of greed, aversion and
ignorance, to eradicate the root cause of suffering 培育慧眼, 去
除贪婪,嗔恚和无明/愚痴,根除苦难的根源
 Concentrate on the sorting and on environmental protection, not
distracted by other’s careless attitude 专注于分拣和环保时,不
会被他人不在乎的心态而心烦意乱
 Gratitude is cultivating our wisdom: to be grateful for the things we
have and the things we can leave behind 感恩可以培养我们的智慧:
要感恩我们所拥有的和我们所能传承于后世的
 Practice middle way in environmental protection, recycling from the
source, mindful consumption 实践中道的环保, 清净在源头,正念消费

8:40am Arrival and set up 到达并准备
9:00am Open to public to donate, sorting 向公众开放捐赠回收物,分类
10:30am Dhamma Talk and sharing 佛法讲座和分享
11:20 am Walk to Lunch 步行去午餐
12:30pm Afternoon shift starts, morning shift ends 下午班开始,早班结束
2:00pm Walking meditation, relaxation 行禅, 放松
2:30pm Final sorting, donation stops 最后的分类,捐赠停止
3:30pm Keeping back items 守回物品
4pm Dedication of merits, gratitude sharing 功德回向, 感恩分享
INITIAL OPERATIONS
初始操作
 Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays 9:00am-2:30pm for donations,
8:40am-4:00pm for volunteer sorting 周二、 四、 六 9:00am-
2:30pm捐赠, 8:40am-4:00pm 进行志工分类
 I will be the Maitreya Bodhisattva until suitable volunteers can
commit and lead 我将是弥勒菩萨,直到有合适的志工可以承诺
并带领团队
 Once we have 14 Maitreya Bodhisattvas, we will expand to all
seven days (two per day) 一旦我们有14个弥勒菩萨,我们将扩
大回收服务到每星期七天(每天两人)
 Aim for total volunteer leading and managing, minimal from staff
(who will make more projects) 目标是由志工全体领导和管理,

 calling the relevant companies to come and take the recyclables
when it is full 回收物满时联系相关公司前来回收
 direct setting up and keeping the site 监督设置和守住现场

day lead all beings to enlightenment 憶: 今我带领志工回收万

AVALOKITESVARA BODHISATTVAS: WELFARE
观世音菩萨: 关怀组
 Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva embodies compassion 大
悲观世音菩萨
 in charge of looking after all volunteers, especially the
elderlies 负责照顾所有志工,尤其是长者
 can also contribute/get food for the volunteers during
break time 也可在休息时间协助志工获取食物
 also talk to, engage, and motivate the volunteers
when appropriate 适时开解,关怀, 激励志工
 in charge of safety 负责安全
 making sure that all volunteers would get gloves and
facemask if required 确保所有志工将得到他们所需的
手套和口罩

MANJUSRI BODHISATTVAS: EDUCATORS

recyclables on what is accepted/ not accepted
here 负责教育公众光明山可回收的物品
 and how to sort them 以及如何分类物品
 in charge of music and educational programs for
the day 负责当天的音乐和教育项目

 in charge of meditation and sharing负责禅修和共

vowed to not be a Buddha until all hells are empty 大
願地藏王菩薩 ,地獄不空、誓不成佛
 Collectors are to help collect recyclables from other
places in the monastery to the sorting center 收藏组

 Help to be logistics in moving stuffs, setting up and

 Future: more recycling bin around monastery, help to
