By playing games, research suggests that they have developed abilities related to creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Come explore the history of games and simulations in the classroom and investigate ways that current games and simulations in digital and non-digital formats can be meaningfully and purposefully integrated into your learning environment.
What does the future look like? Is it a dark space where we’re suffering from varying degrees of techamphetamine or are we heading towards a Utopian fantasy of abundance and harmony?
Understanding that our basic human needs and wants barely change, we explore the future state of a range of topics; from our need for physical sustenance through to our age-long fascination of transcending the limitations of our biology.
Looking at the future from a human perspective, our potential for greatness is teetering on a fine line between darkness and hope. We’re banking on the latter.

18. Items Students Should Not Bring
Students do not require any of the following for the duration of the program, and
their use will not be permitted:
- Laptop computers;
- iPads or other tablets;
- Portable gaming devices;
- iPods, mp3 players, or any other music players;
- Any other similar electronic items.
Students may bring a book to read after the day’s program ends, if they wish.
19. Contact Information
Students will be given time at the end of the day’s session to contact home.
If at any point during the camp program you need to contact your child, please
do so via Dr Capri, as follows:
- During school hours: At the school number
- Outside of school hours: At the school mobile number that will be relayed to
you by letter prior to the commencement of camp.
20. Return to Jakarta
Note that we are scheduled to arrive back in Jakarta at 20:50 on Friday 11
December on flight GA 869.
We would appreciate if you could arrange to pick up your students in a timely
manner upon our return. We advise you to be at the airport before our scheduled
20:50 arrival time.
We are sure you are aware that the students will be very tired after a very busy
week packed full of fun, but demanding activities.
