The teacher will present a picture scenario to the students. Students will guess
the presentscenarioandwill identify what might be the past scenario that leads to
the present scenario and will also guess the future of the scenario.
Possible answers:
Present: The child is studying for an exam.
Reason(Past):The childprobablytoldbyherparentsthatshe will receive arewardif
she pass th exam.
Future: The will have get a reward for passing the exam.
C. Analysis
 What have you observe in the activity?
 In the activity, you were able to identify the the present situation in the
picture. Guess the past scenario and also the future scenario.
 What do you think is our lesson for today?
D. Abstraction
 Past Perfect Progressive
Action that continuously happened in the past before another
action occurred and also completed in the past.
For example,
Time Frame;
“They had been talking for over an hour before Tony arrived.”
“I had been practicing how to carve for 1 year before I quit.
Notice how the past perfect progressive often includes the
adverbs for and since to express duration. You will also
see the adverbs before, when or by the time used to
introduce a second action.
Formula:
Subject + Had been + -ing verb + for/since/before

present.

 Future Perfect Progressive
A future action that will continue until a certain period of time or
event in the future .
For example:

it.

Students will be grouped into 4. Each group will write 2 past, present, and future

will choose a representative to present their sentences.
