Brianne Hoagland has faced challenges as a single mother in a wheelchair caring for a son with cerebral palsy, but with the help of Goodwill's employment services she was able to volunteer and then gain employment at Building Blocks for Kids, a company assisting children with disabilities, first as an office administrator and then as a development coordinator.

2. Brianne Hoagland is a success story,
Goodwill helped her to achieve her
goals. For the past 8 years Hoagland
has had an uphill battle, she is in a
wheelchair and a son with cerebral
palsy. This deterred her for most job
opportunities even with this Hoagland
always believed to her self “Never give
up”.

3. Hoagland became aware of
Goodwill’s Employment services,
Hoagland figured a team ready to
assist her in finding employment was
better than going at it alone.

4. Hoagland came across a company
called Building Blocks for Kids, the
company provides assistance to
children with physical, emotional and
developmental challenges. At the time
they were not hiring, so she
volunteered instead.

5. A few months after volunteering at
Building Blocks for Kids, Hoagland
became an office administrator then a
development coordinator.
