Matthew: The King and His Kingdom Mt. 5.13-6 Salt & LightStephen Palm
In these three simple but powerful verses, Jesus beautifully illustrates what the characteristics of a disciple should look like. The way we should live our lives is likened to salt, and in biblical times, salt served as a preservative for food to keep it from rotting. However, once it lost its taste, it was good for nothing and was thrown out on walking paths in a similar way we use gravel. If we are not careful our witness can lose the flavor that Jesus calls us to have. Not only should we be salt, but we should be light. In John 8:21 Jesus contrasted himself with the false religious leaders of his day, when he told them, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Every disciple of Christ has the light of the Holy Spirit in them, so that they will be distinct from everyone else who does not. The principle for us is not to use the light to draw attention to ourselves but light the path for people to see the only way to Father (Jn. 14:6) in heaven thus bringing glory to His mighty name.
Many Christians live life either without true purpose or destiny, or one that is shallow. These exhortations and prayers are meant to help Christians live a more meaningful and purposeful life.

Act 20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive."
WORDS do three things to you and for you:
The WORDS you speak identify you.
The Words you speak set the boundaries of your life.
The WORDS you speak affect your spirit (your inward man).
If you want to locate yourself, just listen to the WORDS you speak.
Matthew 7:7-11 Because our understanding of God is sometimes skewed by erroneous concepts, we fail to come before our Heavenly Father confidently and seek His gracious gifts. Often when we practice our righteousness, we are seeking to earn our Father’s favor as if He is hard to please and often angry. When we remember that we have a good Father, who gives us good gifts, we can practice our righteousness with joy and contentment, knowing that He will always do what is best for us.

Kneeling with our knees today was slowly lost. Do you know that through kneeling down, we prepare ourselves to survive in the midst of challenging time in future.
Sometimes it seems that things are going well, and at other times, things seem to be going badly. And we let those things dictate our feelings and our outlook on life. When things are going well, we’re happy and we think God is with us. If they are going badly, we get discouraged and think that God must have abandoned us. We end up being tossed around by our circumstances. Remember that everything happens for a reason. Every Trials we overcome, blessings we received, its not about luck but its all about God Favor
This is a collection of writings that deal with the issue of pleasing the Holy Spirit by the life we live. We can grieve Him or please Him, and the choice has eternal consequences. His pleasure is the key to our eternal pleasure. Good works in blessing others is a pleasure to the Holy Spirit.

We are living in a chaotic world. Often times, we end in frustration and dismayed. The only thing we need, though things are not working according to our plans and dream is the presence of God. You might be in a condition that you are about to give up, don't worry He will comfort you through His presence.
People are always complaining about their height, nose, hair, lips, weight, face, and the color of their skin. Remember, unsatisfied life can destroy our faith.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
