MHT is an organization established in 1994 that works to improve housing and infrastructure for poor working women in Gujarat. It facilitates access to housing, infrastructure development, and finance. It implemented several projects including post-earthquake reconstruction, a slum upgrading project, and skills training for women construction workers. A survey of 25 MHT beneficiaries found high levels of satisfaction with MHT services and projects. Suggestions for MHT included providing additional services like health insurance and helping to form labor unions.
