2. Mechanism of Global Warming
With the light from the sun's heat goes into
the earth and it’s hit the ground.
Usually…
The sun’s heat is reflected.
And it will be released into space.
But…
3. Mechanism of Global Warming(2)
After reflecting on the ground, the majority of solar
energy will be a further reflection by greenhouse
gases.
Most of the heat being emitted remain in the ground.
As a result, the temperature rises.
Back to the ground again.
4. Effects of Global Warming
・ Climate change
・ Rising sea level
‐ Glacier-melt
・ Increasing the unusual
weather
‐ Flood, Drought, Hurricane
etc...
・ Crisis of plants and
animals
・ Heat Island
・ Infectious Disease
・ Problems of Food and
Water
5. The present in global warming
Rising sea level
In a span of 20 century,
the sea level rose about
10~20cm.There are some
Islands may sink to the sea.
Tuvalu, Marshall Islands, Fiji, and so Islands are
starting to be affected by encroachment of
wave.
6. melting glacier
According to the satellite investigation of NASA,
the large reduction of glaciers observed at the
Andes, Himalayas, Alps and Pyrenees in the last
10 years.
The glacier of Himalaya s
is
retreating 10~15cm per year.
7. Forest fire
In 2003, the forest fire that be caused by fierce heat
and drought started in all over the world.
The following is damage of forest fire in 2003.
・ Russia 23,710,000ha
・ America 2,888,738ha
・ Portugal 417,000ha
Besides this, France and Alaska has record forest
fire.
8. Abnormal weather
During the 20 century, the average temperature
are rising about 0.6 .℃
Global warming caused abnormal proliferation of
typhoon and huge hurricane in Asia.
In Bangladesh, the heavy rain and flood occurred
often.
China and Australia was done drought damage.
A heat wave blow in Europe and Canada.
A cold wave blow in Europe and Central Asia.
9. Improvement plans
・ Introduce energy which saves energy or doesn’t
discharge CO2 (sunlight, wind, biomass, hydrogen,
atomic energy, etc…)
・ Promote the economic activity which a small quantity
of energy dependence. (energy-saving equipment, a
low-emission vehicle, using means of public, etc...)
・ Accelerate the increase of carbon absorption quantity
(tree planting, greening a desert, repress of felling
forest, appropriate administration of irrigation and
water resources, etc… )
