Overnight, COVID-19 changed life and how communities function in Albania. From March 2020 to January 2021, EUR 929,149 was donated by citizens, companies, and nonprofits in Albania to address the harmful effects of the novel coronavirus. Citizens donated 67.9% of funds, with 46% of donations used to purchase supplies like masks and gloves. Over 50% of donated funds went to state and public institutions to support people in economic need and local communities.
