HCL Notes and Domino License Cost Reduction in the World of DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away

HCL Notes und Domino Lizenzkostenreduzierung in der Welt von DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-und-domino-lizenzkostenreduzierung-in-der-welt-von-dlau/

Get Online Week 2014 english evaluation
1. Get Online Week 2014 in Spanish
Telecentres
Introduction:
The Community Telecentre Network Association, as sponsor of the GET
ONLINE WEEK 2014 led by Telecentre-Europa, is organising for this
year’s edition several activities to improve the employability of
telecentre users in all the telecentres within the national network, among
which; training workshops, professional days, online seminars,
video-streaming
talks, meetings with
programmers,
training pathways
and the launching in
Spain of an
employment-oriented
social network for
young people.
The launching and implementation of these activities received the
support, active collaboration and participation of all the networks within
the Community Telecentre Network Association.
2. GOW activities:
This year the Association has set up a website for the campaign in Spain
on http://gow2014.wordpress.com/. The site has centralised the
activities organised in Spain and conducted in the telecentres, public-access
Internet sites, libraries, educational centres and NGOs. For follow-up
purposes in social networks, two tags have been used - #GOW14 for
the European campaign and #GOW14ES for the Spanish campaign.
Telecentre Networks have collaborated in the planning of National
Activities, including over 20 events, among which:
Guadalinfo Network (Andalusia) has planned the training pathways
organized at Guadalinfo Centres, and grouped at the GOW Spain website,
plus many more activities, among which:
• Digital Professions: the experience of More Than
Gamers, examples of entrepreneurship in these new digital
3. professions, in this case online videogames. On Tuesday March 25
at 11:30, Abel Bordonado, Javier del Olmo and Omar Madrona, gave
a talk on who they are, how the idea of their project originated,
how they established their own company and much more. The talk
was broadcast on Guadalinfo TV.
• Open Doors Day on “Digital Professions”. This event was held
on 27 March at the University of Cordoba. Attendants were
required to register, and the event could be followed by streaming
on Guadalinfo TV and in social networks using the hashtag
#prodigitales.
The EspaciosCyL Digital Network (Castile León), with the intention of
innovating their training methodologies, and in line with the main
guidelines of GOW objectives, planned a cycle of online seminars named
“the Internet, your windows to employment”, integrating new
communication technologies and contents adapted to an improved
employability based on new employment 2.0 tools.
EspaciosCyL Digital Network seminars:
• Your CV, a window to employment
• Your CV in Employment Networks
• LinkedIn and the search for opportunities
• Managing your professional identity in LinkedIn
Fundación Dédalo (Tudela, Navarra), through its Cybercentre, delivered
two training workshops – one based on GOOGLE certificates and one
focusing on improving your CV young unemployed people.
4. The Xarxa PunTIC Telecentre
Network (Catalonia) has
collaborated in a European
social network, similar to
LinkedIn, but oriented
exclusively to young people.
The social network’s name is
YouRock, and is promoted by
a British organisation with
the collaboration of 18
countries. The network was launched in 13 languages. Teb, as member
representing Spanish telecentres, has collaborated by making the
initiative available in Spanish, and during GOW Xarxa PUnTIC actively
encouraged young people to register and create their profile with this
tool, to “shine like a rock” before employers, who will enter the platform
to search for candidates for employment opportunities.
The Telecentre Association further collaborated by participating in an
event on young entrepreneurship that sought to explore the field of
social innovation, talk with social innovators with hands-on experience,
research the role that young people can play in this domain and to bring
together people interested in new ways of building and designing the
present and the future.
