The Catholic leaders cite eight specific questions they
seekto have answeredconcerning suspect events that
led to the resignationof Pope Benedict, the first papal
abdication in 700 years.

‘regime change’ was engineeredby the Obama
administration,” say the petitioners,in their January 20
“We were alarmed to discover,” their letter notes,
“that, during the third year of the first term of the
Obama administration your previous opponent,
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other
government officials with whom she associated
proposed a Catholic ‘revolution’ in which the final
demise of what was left of the Catholic Church in
America would be realized.”
The letter includes links to documents and news
stories underscoring their claims. It first directs
attention to the notorious Soros-Clinton-Podesta e-
mails disclosed last year by WikiLeaks, in which
Podesta and other progressives discussed regime
change to remove what they described as the “middle
ages dictatorship” in the Catholic Church.
Regarding the Podesta e-mails in question, The New
American-last October:
“Podesta, a longtime Clinton adviser/confidante and
hand-picked top activist for left-wing funder George
Soros, revealed in a 2011 e-mail that he and other
activists were working to effect a “Catholic Spring”

reference to the disastrous “Arab Spring” coups
organized that same year by the Obama-Clinton-Soros
team that destabilized the Middle East and brought
radical Islamist regimes and terrorist groups to power
in the region. The Podesta e-mail is a response to
another Soros-funded radical — Sandy Newman,
founder of the “progressive” Voices for Progress.
Newman had written to Podesta seeking advice on the
best way to “plant the seeds of the revolution” in the
Catholic Church, which he described as a “middle
ages [sic] dictatorship.”
In their letter to President Trump, the group of
Catholics leaders write: “Approximately a year after
this e-mail discussion, which was never intended to be
made public, we find that Pope Benedict XVI
abdicated under highly unusual circumstances and
was replaced by a pope whose apparent mission is to
provide a spiritual component to the radical
ideological agenda of the international left. The
Pontificate of Pope Francis has subsequently called
into question its own legitimacy on a multitude of
occasions.”

9. “We remain puzzled by the behavior of this
ideologically charged Pope, whose mission seems to
be one of advancing secular agendas of the left rather
than guiding the Catholic Church in Her sacred
mission,” they say, expressing the thoughts of millions
of Catholics around the world stunned by Pope
Francis’s left-wing ideology. “It is simply not the
proper role of a Pope to be involved in politics to the
point that he is considered to be the leader of the
international left.”
“With all of this in mind, and wishing the best for our country as
well as for Catholics worldwide, we believe it to be the
responsibilityof loyal and informed United States Catholics to
petition you to authorize an investigation into the following
questions:
– To what end was the National Security Agency monitoring the
conclave that elected Pope Francis?
– What other covert operations were carried out by US
government operatives concerning the resignation of Pope
Benedict or the conclave that elected Pope Francis?
– Did US government operatives have contact with the
“Cardinal Danneels Mafia”?
– International monetarytransactions with the Vatican were
suspended during the last few days prior to the resignation of
Pope Benedict. Were any U.S. Government agencies involved in
this?

10. – Why were international monetarytransactions resumed on
February 12, 2013, the day after Benedict XVI announced his
resignation? Was this pure coincidence?
– What actions, if any, were actually taken by John Podesta,
Hillary Clinton, and others tied to the Obama administration
who were involved in the discussionproposing the fomenting of
a “Catholic Spring”?
– What was the purpose and nature of the secret meeting

12. American Jewish philanthropist George Soros has announced an
investment of $1 billion in a new international educational
initiative to promote liberal values and free societies.
Soros announced the Open Society University Network at the
World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, calling it “the
most important and enduring project of my life.”
Details on the project were scant, but a statement said it would
aim “to reach the students who need it the most and to
promote the values of open society — including free expression
and diversity of beliefs.”

It will also seek to assist “institutions in need of international
partners, as well as neglected populations” and help “politically
endangered scholars.”
The initiative describes itself as seeking to “strengthen
foundations of open society amid authoritarian resurgence”
around the world, and to “counteract polarization by promoting
global research collaboration and educating students to
examine issues from different perspectives and advance
reasoned arguments.”

13. One of the project’s founding members is the Central European
University, a private institution founded by Soros which was
forced to relocate from Budapest in 2018 over pressure from
the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. It
recently opened its new Vienna campus.
Soros’s intense efforts to promote progressive causes have
made him a frequent target and boogeyman of right-wing
leaders and a key figure in far-right conspiracytheories. His
vilification has often carried anti-Semitic undertones, with the
89-year-old portrayed as a villainous figure trying to gain global
power.
The Jewish billionaire told the Guardian in November he
believed the tide may be turning against recent years’ wave of
global populism, and said of his vilification by right-wing leaders
that he “must be doing something right.”

There is always the hand of George Soros. We
start with the facts. In recent days, the Austrian
government has accepted the transfer to Vienna
of the private university founded years ago in
Hungary by the magnate and "kicked out" from
Budapest by the government of Viktor Orban.
The announcement was made by Alexanders
Soros, son of the philanthropist, on Twitter. The
transfer took place precisely in the days when
the Austrian government asked Europe to use

Italy. And many saw a connection between the
two events, as if Austria were relocating to the
orbit of the tycoon in an anti-sovereignist
perspective.
So far you suspect. There are, however, other
facts. His desire to finance certain European
governments, Soros, has never hidden it:
remember, for example, that on May 3, 2017 the
then Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, received it
with great pomp, complete with press releases.
And - as Italia Oggi points out - it is a fact that
since then the Open Society, the foundation of
Soros, has intensified, and quite a lot, its
activity in Italy, perhaps in response right after
the attacks it received after meeting with
Gentiloni. In July 2018, on the Open Society
website, you could see how much he spent in
Italy and who financed.

So, in short, it turns out that every year
worldwide in the Open Society budget is equal

Europe and even 2.5% in Italy, equal to 2.1
million dollars in 2017. And who does that
money go to? Soon said: 28 NGOs engaged in
particular on the pro-migrant and anti-
discrimination front (52% of the total). In short,
suspicious financing. And the suspicion is all
political: is Soros financing those subjects who
are in the front line against sovereign Italy?
Possible. Indeed, probable. So whoever accuses
the tycoon of interfering in the democratic
order-is perhaps not wrong.
