★ Commissioned/Chief a lieutenant colonel in 1754
★ Much of his family’s wealth was lost during the Puritan
Revolution
★ Washington was the eldest out of the six

and later on schoolmaster

character, his trustworthiness, and because he was known
as the best colonial military commander he was also
chosen because everyone believed that he could take on
the british and win.
