George, a brave knight, came upon a village being terrorized by a dragon. The villagers had tried to appease the dragon by giving it their food, animals, and gold, but it continued attacking. When the king's army failed to capture the dragon, the king sent his daughter to the lake as a sacrifice. George rode to the lake just as the dragon emerged and fought bravely, killing the dragon. George and the princess returned to the village as heroes, and George is now remembered as the patron saint who protected the villagers from the dragon.
