1990s, in particularly alongside the popularity of the
Fox series ‘Beverly Hills’
 Our film touches on the teen drama genre as it is
focusing on teenage girls and everyday life as a
teenage girl, including relationships, mental health,
friendship and the role of the media
 This also links with our target audience as we want
our short film to appeal to young women

 Although our short film has elements of teen
drama within it, the only spoken word is the
poetry read out over the top. Therefore our

genre as it is spoken dialogue in the form of
poetry
