Welcome to Careif’s 10th anniversary newsletter.
Careif is an international mental health charity that works towards protecting and promoting mental health and resilience, to eliminate inequalities and strengthen social justice. Our principles include working creatively with humili-ty and dignity, and with balanced partnerships in order to ensure all cultures and societies play their part in our mission of protecting and promoting mental health and well‐being. We do this by respecting the traditions of all world soci-eties, whilst believing traditions can evolve, for even greater benefit to individ-uals and society.
Careif believes that knowledge should not only be available to those with wealth or those who live in urban and industrialised parts of the world. It considers knowledge sharing to be a basic human right, where this knowledge can change lives and help realise true human potential. Further-more there is substantial knowledge to be found in the less developed, rural and poorer areas of the world and this is valuable to the wellbeing of people in areas which are wealthier.

Australia, and Dr. Lance Ware, a scientist and lawyer from England.
Mensa was the first of its kind. And it grew quickly. Today, it has more than 134,000
members across 100 countries. Just as it was back in 1946, Mensa
International remains one of the most prominent genius clubs out there.
Mensa has successfully created a society free of social and religious distinction in
aiming for an organic society. Its three purposes affirm this aim.
The three purposes of Mensa include:
Fostering intelligence for the benefit of humanity alone
Encouraging research on intelligence regarding its characteristics, nature, and
usage
Promotion of stimulating opportunities for its members
What Does ‘Mensa’ Mean? Defining The Mensa
Meaning
3. The word Mensa has Latin origins. The word itself means table. What does that have
to do with this genius club? Well, quite a lot, actually.
Mensa is a round table-society where all distinctions are believed to be irrelevant.
This includes: national origin, age, politics, and any other social or educational
distinction. People from all around the world are welcome to join.
Where Do Mensa Members Meet?
With the incentive of providing a better society, Mensa organizes various events for
its members at both the local and international levels. Once a year, a large event called
the Annual Gathering is held in several countries where Mensa has formed societies,
including Great Britain, the US, and Canada.
Every year the Annual Gathering is held in a different city. It’s hosted with numerous
speakers, leadership workshops, children’s events, and other activities for the
members to engage in and socialize.
How To Join Mensa: Specific Mensa Requirements
To be eligible to join Mensa, you must score within the highest two percent of the
general population on an IQ test.
Are IQ tests really the most accurate measure of intelligence? What is intelligence,
anyway? That’s a whole different kettle of fish.
But rest assured that Mensa actually accepts a variety of intelligence tests for
membership eligibility, including the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) and
the Stanford Binet Intelligence Scale.
Basically, the primary mensa iq requirement is that you score in the highest
percentiles. So, if you want to join Mensa, you must take one of these tests.
4. Currently, Mensa consists of over 134,000 members in 51 national groups across 100
countries around the world. You can join a national Mensa group or you can
join Mensa International directly if your country does not presently have one.
The Mensa Brain Workout
Not sure where you fall on the IQ scale? Or worried you might not make the cut? A
good place to start out is by trying the Mensa Brain Workout.
While this test won’t qualify you to join Mensa, it’s a good way to put your brain to
the test and expose yourself to the type of questions you might find on the Stanford
Binet or the WAIS.
No matter where you fall on the IQ scale, remember that it is possible to improve your
intelligence.
As Jim Kwik, Author of Mindvalley’s Superbrain Program, says:
5. “There are absolutely things you can do to improve your brain. Science says that
through neurogenesis and neuroplasticity, we can grow older but we can actually
grow better. We can grow new brain cells and new connections and do things that are
extraordinary.”
All of us can improve our brains and it’s never too late to improve your mental
fitness!
How Can You Score Higher In An IQ test?
Is it possible to raise your IQ score? Definitely!
Scientists have found out that the brain never grows old and new brain cells are
produced till the day we die.
The one thing we need to do is keep learning. Learning connects our brain cells and
improves our brain. This is precisely what you learn in Jim Kwik’s Superbrain
Program: you learn to learn better.
Once you have fully optimized your brain, you will be ready to join the genius club,
and no one will be able to stop you!
