This document outlines an 8-step process for systematically studying the Bible and making disciples:
1) Test and develop disciples' foundations by studying Genesis to Judges.
2) Engage the whole city by gathering believers and studying 1 Samuel to Malachi.
3) Gather kingdom-focused leaders and study Psalms to Ecclesiastes.
4) Begin discipleship training and study Lamentations to 2 Chronicles.
5) Begin additional training centers and study Matthew to Romans.
6) Transform cities by launching teams and studying 1 Corinthians to Colossians.
7) Release disciples to other churches and study 1 Thessalonians to Philemon.
8) Encourage elders and study Hebrews
What is the true test of Godliness? How can one fellowship with the true church without being contaminated by the religious impositions of men of today?
The Prince of this world has long been striving and seems almost close to achieving that victory. it is the natural result of the error by the Church; a lowering of the standard of the Kingdom of God through the introduction of the gospel of convenience, a walk with God without transformation of life , a Christianity without the Cross. The church surrendering this basis of her power and legitimacy has made her to exist in a perfect and harmonious accord with the world.
The visible church has virtually created her own âGODâ a religious deity who seems satisfied with his subjects excesses ,cares little about their sins, highly appreciates their works of virtue, even though these were predicated on human pride , and looks with pleasure upon their bold deeds and intellectual displays. Packages of doctrines, whole pedestals of understanding and range of thinking system which form the basis of peopleâs faith have been tailored to satisfy the cravings of fallen men.
The God of the bible has been left of his own House. His city lies in virtual ruins while the city wall are continually been compromised so that strangers may enter at will. This book written by Ayodeji Ezra-Williams brings to mind the words of Jesus Christ comparing the days of his coming to the days of Noah

Genesis to Revelation Overview to Make DisciplesMark Pomeroy

This file summarizes each book of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation derived from a blog I wrote from 2010 to 2013. The quote below from George Barna sets it up:
Christian researcher George Barna wrote that âchurches expose Christians to scattered, random bits of Biblical knowledge. . . . In just a few hours those principles or truths are lost in the busyness and complexity of daily life. . . . Sufficient context was not provided, nor was a method taught that could enable them to analyze, categorize and utilize the principles or truths discussed in class. This inability to systematically apply Biblical truth produces a spiritual superficiality and immaturity reflected in the behaviors and attitudes of general society and in the Church as well.â
Like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, our hearts will burn and minds will understand the Scriptures when we study the Law, Prophets and Psalms and now the New Testament, in consecutive order (Luke 24:27,32,44-45)

The Four Marks of the Church: One, Holy, Catholic, ApostolicDr. Poornima DSouza
Â
1. The Church is âOne, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.â These are the four characteristics or âmarksâ of the Church.
2. The Church is one because it is unique: Christ founded one Church, and fall members of the Church are united in his one body.
3. The Church has been afflicted by various schisms and divisions, but remains in essence one. All Christians are called to work toward greater unity with one another.
Ecclesiology Part 2 - The Purpose of the Church.Robert Tan
Â
Here you go Part 2 of the study of Ecclesiology.
I shared a study on Ecclesiology in church.
1. The Nature of the Church.
2. The Purpose of the Church.
Everything written in the New Testament about these different ministries working together to build up the Church will always apply as long as the Church is on earth.
Important study on the Emergent Church and its infiltration into Protestantism and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Omega of apostasy will deceive many people, for the devil is behind it. Our only safety is in an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, and serious study of the Bible.
An apostolic Community is one where the people are living in the benefit of the apostolic dimension.
It is important to understand the nature of apostolic communities for accurate positioning, planning and expectation.
Understanding apostolic community will inform our value systems and provide a new measuring rod by which to evaluate quality and direction.

Weekend Course - How to Effectively Build and Lead cell GroupsClive Ashby
Â
This weekend course went beyond action points, to the deeper foundations needed for community, mutual support, worship, giving, sharing, prayer and interactive Bible study. Practical Guidance on how these foundations can be applied and used were discussed in detail. This foundational teaching applies to youth groups, cell groups, LIFE groups, women's groups, men's groups, in fact any form of Christian community coming together weekly to share and grow in Christ. (taught are Harare Theological College).
We can learn from science that joy activates the brainâs relational circuits in the middle of our identity center. Joy enables us to respond to the God who is with us and for us. Godâs initiating love allows us to receive his grace with appreciation and joy, generating a joyful identity. The brainâs joy center â the right orbital prefrontal cortex â is the only section of brain which never loses its capacity to grow â so our âjoy strengthâ can continue to expand through life.
Because Cory didnât grow up with joy being a part of his life, he found that the interactive gratitude exercise from Jim Wilder, Anna Kang, John Loppnow, and Sungshim Loppnowâs book, Joyful Journey, was helpful in processing his internal dialogue of negative thoughts so he could experience joy from God. It allowed him to write a letter to God with a response back from Him. Cory never received validation from his earthly father. Receiving re-parenting and validation from God, Cory said, allowed him to avoid emotionally dumping on people.
After the gratitude exercise, six additional steps are included in Immanuel Journaling (described below), where we write down our impression of what God is thinking and saying to us (everything we write down being filtered through Scripture and our knowledge of Godâs character).
Immanuel Journaling Steps:
1. Gratitude. Write anything you appreciate and then write Godâs response to your gratitude:
âDear God, Iâm thankful forâŚâ and âDear child of mineâŚâ
2. I can see you.
Write from Godâs perspective what He observes in you right now, including your physical sensations.
3. I can hear you.
Write from Godâs perspectives what He hears you saying to yourself.
4. I understand how big this is for you.
How does God see your dreams, blessings or upsets and troubles?
5. I am glad to be with you and treat your weakness tenderly.
How does God express His desire to participate with your life?
6. I can do something about what you are going through.
What does God give you for this time?
7. Read what you have written aloud (preferably to someone else)
Most of us have experienced rejection, shame, and blame while growing up. Cory experienced more of these things than anyone Iâve ever known.
Because Cory didnât grow up with joy being a part of his life, he found that the interactive gratitude exercise from Jim Wilder, Anna Kang, John Loppnow, and Sungshim Loppnowâs book, Joyful Journey, was helpful in processing his internal dialogue of negative thoughts so he could experience joy from God through âImmanuel Journaling.â
Cory noted that his Immanuel Journaling has been enhanced by the âseven soul care principlesâ from Dr. Rob Reimerâs book, Soul Care: 7 Transformational Principles for a Healthy Soul.
He participates in the weekly soul care menâs group that I co-lead.
We cultivate these seven principles: identity, repentance, overcoming family sin patterns, forgiveness, healing wounds, overcoming fears, and deliverance.
See the profile of Cory, application of the seven soul care principles, and Immanuel Journaling in the attached âYear-End Sync Newsletter.â

Saving people time, money, and frustration by integrating existing technologies into a single platform for evangelism and discipleship.
Enabling discipleship and evangelism in virtual small groups across generations via a secure, safe, interactive, and integrated platform. An all-in-one web app that connects video, threaded chat, teaching, journaling, and lesson modules.
Single screen experience that increases the participantsâ focus and awareness and the positive impact the lessons have on their lives.
Imagine a seamless, all-in-one experience enabling Christians to communicate, learn, and track their spiritual progress. Imagine a platform that brings together video chat, texting, journaling, and lesson materials in one, easy-to-use app. Imagine the impact leading a virtual small group has on the lives of those attending. Imagine spending more time ministering and less time doing admin/busy work.
The power of this app is in the way it integrates discipleship materials and videos within specific lessons, inventories them all while facilitating chat, scheduling, and live video conferencing. Imagine what would this mean for your ministry and for you personally.
Contribute to the efficiency of small group leaders so they can reach more people in less time. Increase the number of small group leaders that are available to begin new groups by applying 2 Timothy 2:2. Reduce the attrition rate of small group attendees. Increase the number of trained small group leaders that can reproduce across generations. Increase the number of holistic disciples with Christlike emotions, mind, will, and behaviors who value their faith and understand the Bible. Reduce the costs for churches using small group video streaming services.
Sync Partnership with Clayton One-PagerMark Pomeroy
Â
Description of partnership between Sync with God and Clayton protecting peoples' privacy and data as an alternative to Google, Facebook, etc. Very important in countries where there's persecution
Thank you for considering Sync with Godâs potential impact and how you and other concerned Christians can bridge the culture gap for the purpose of sharing Jesus Christ. Wherever there is access to the internet, you can meet in virtual small groups with those you are mentoring to share your lives, your spiritual journeys and study the Bible using Syncâs discipleship framework.
For years, my colleagues and I shared Christ face-to-face with significant results! As society became more Post-Christian, things changed. Encounters with young people became more detached and awkward. The Sync team learned from Barna and other sources that most U.S. churches were struggling to bridge the generation gap and connect with young people! This breakdown in effective church outreach was confirmed when Pew Research reported only 20% of Millennials or Gen Zers identify themselves as Christians, and 34% identify as atheists. This is reason enough to be concerned, but researchers are documenting an epidemic in loneliness that is putting these young people at risk of addiction, exploitation and economic marginalization.
Mentorless, Fatherless Generation
Jim, a faithful elder, sees most young people bypassing the church. Older people with experience seem bored and apathetic in their relationship with Christ. Great young leaders most often have a foundation of great mentoring by Bible believing Christians.
The longer we go without taking discipleship seriously, the wider the chasm between our generations will become. (Grant Skeldon, The Passion Generation: The Seemingly Reckless, Definitely Disruptive, But Far from Hopeless Millennials)
Sync with God is designed to address this problem: http://bit.ly/syncdemo2
⢠A highly versatile web APP hosts on-demand, virtual small groups, globally
⢠Designed to connect young seekers in the faith and Bible-trained mentors
⢠Offers a safe, engaging interface for Millennials/Gen. Z adaptable to technical
advances well into the future

Letâs reach the many young people who now want to know more about Jesus. Here are some options, as you prayerfully consider what God wants you to do with your gifts of support.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this âmysteryâ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a nounâŚand instead considered God as a verb? Check it outâŚ
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
genesis to revelation overview in making disciples
1. Staying Connected for Lifeâs Story
Blog Summary: Genesis to Revelation in order of Hebrew canon (www.markpomeroy.com)
Christian researcher George Barna wrote that âchurches expose Christians to scattered, random bits
of Biblical knowledge. . . . In just a few hours those principles or truths are lost in the busyness and
complexity of daily life. . . . Sufficient context was not provided, nor was a method taught that could
enable them to analyze, categorize and utilize the principles or truths discussed in class. This
inability to systematically apply Biblical truth produces a spiritual superficiality and immaturity
reflected in the behaviors and attitudes of general society and in the Church as well.â
Like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, our hearts burn so we can understand the Scriptures
by studying the Law, Prophets, Psalms and now, the New Testament,
in consecutive order as follows (Luke 24:27,32,44-45):
Four fields of kingdom growth (diagram above) outline the basic process of how the Kingdom
grows. This process is outlined in many of Jesusâ agricultural-based parables, but particularly in
Mark 4:26-29. This parable illustrates the high value activities that Jesus prioritized throughout
His three years of earthly ministry.
⢠First, like the farmer, Jesus entered into the empty field looking for God prepared people.
⢠Second, like the farmer, Jesus casted the seed of Godâs Word by proclaiming the Gospel of the
Kingdom and calling people to respond.
⢠Third, like the farmer, Jesus tended to the growth which God caused by His Spirit. He insured His
disciplesâ growth by calling them to follow, love, and obey Him, while transforming them into fishers
of people.
⢠Fourth, like the farmer, Jesus gathered the harvest of disciples together; He did not simply disciple
people one-on-one, but formed communities of faith everywhere He went.
⢠Fifth, like the farmer, Jesus had a product that could be reproduced in the seasons to come. From
the harvest came leaders who reproduced the kingdom when Jesus left.
