LaserBond™ achieves a welded or metallurgical bond with minimal, precisely controlled heat input provided by an optimized laser beam. Temperature sensitive components and materials, such as hardened shafts, gears etc, can be repaired with minimal risk of distortion or other undesirable heat effects. The metallurgical bond allows LaserBond™ applied layers to be used in high impact, heavily loaded/stressed situations with no risk of spalling or separation of the overlay. The controlled energy minimizes the undesirable thermal decomposition of hard phases such as carbides, resulting in optimum wear resistance. Due to the extremely low dilution with the substrate, high specification materials can be applied in a thin layer with corrosion and wear resistant surfaces as thin as 0.3mm possible. Thick overlays for significant repairs of up to 20mm can also be applied in multiple passes. Heat affected zones are minimized and the stress related cracking inherent in welded or PTA applied hard facing is generally eliminated. Standard LaserBond™ overlay options include Tungsten Carbide, Stainless Steels, Nickel alloys such as Inconel, and Cobalt alloys such as Stellite1. Other materials can be applied on request.
The High Pressure High Velocity Oxy-Fuel process applies coating material at supersonic velocities, resulting in surfaces of the highest possible quality and performance.
HP HVOF coatings are very dense, very well bonded, and free of the oxides and tensile stresses typically found in coatings produced with other thermal spray processes. Consequently, they perform better in most service environments. HP HVOF wear resistant coatings are being adopted globally as an environmentally friendly, and technically superior, alternative to Chrome plating on components such as aircraft landing gear. Surfaces combining resistance to corrosion and wear are also routinely applied by HP HVOF. LaserBond™ approved HP HVOF coatings include Tungsten Carbide, Chrome Carbide, Nickel based alloys (e.g. Inconel 625 and 718), Cobalt alloys such as Stellite1, stainless steels and copper based alloys.

India Clinical Trials Market: Industry Size and Growth Trends [2030] Analyzed...Kumar Satyam
According to TechSci Research report, "India Clinical Trials Market- By Region, Competition, Forecast & Opportunities, 2030F," the India Clinical Trials Market was valued at USD 2.05 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.64% through 2030. The market is driven by a variety of factors, making India an attractive destination for pharmaceutical companies and researchers. India's vast and diverse patient population, cost-effective operational environment, and a large pool of skilled medical professionals contribute significantly to the market's growth. Additionally, increasing government support in streamlining regulations and the growing prevalence of lifestyle diseases further propel the clinical trials market.
Growing Prevalence of Lifestyle Diseases
The rising incidence of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer is a major trend driving the clinical trials market in India. These conditions necessitate the development and testing of new treatment methods, creating a robust demand for clinical trials. The increasing burden of these diseases highlights the need for innovative therapies and underscores the importance of India as a key player in global clinical research.
Defecation
Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool toward the anus. When stool reaches the rectum, the distention causes relaxation of the internal sphincter and an awareness of the need to defecate. At the time of defecation, the external sphincter relaxes, and abdominal muscles contract, increasing intrarectal pressure and forcing the stool out
The Valsalva maneuver exerts pressure to expel faeces through a voluntary contraction of the abdominal muscles while maintaining forced expiration against a closed airway. Patients with cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, increased intracranial pressure, or a new surgical wound are at greater risk for cardiac dysrhythmias and elevated blood pressure with the Valsalva maneuver and need to avoid straining to pass the stool.
Normal defecation is painless, resulting in passage of soft, formed stool
CONSTIPATION
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Improper diet, reduced fluid intake, lack of exercise, and certain medications can cause constipation. For example, patients receiving opiates for pain after surgery often require a stool softener or laxative to prevent constipation. The signs of constipation include infrequent bowel movements (less than every 3 days), difficulty passing stools, excessive straining, inability to defecate at will, and hard feaces
IMPACTION
Fecal impaction results from unrelieved constipation. It is a collection of hardened feces wedged in the rectum that a person cannot expel. In cases of severe impaction the mass extends up into the sigmoid colon.
DIARRHEA
Diarrhea is an increase in the number of stools and the passage of liquid, unformed feces. It is associated with disorders affecting digestion, absorption, and secretion in the GI tract. Intestinal contents pass through the small and large intestine too quickly to allow for the usual absorption of fluid and nutrients. Irritation within the colon results in increased mucus secretion. As a result, feces become watery, and the patient is unable to control the urge to defecate. Normally an anal bag is safe and effective in long-term treatment of patients with fecal incontinence at home, in hospice, or in the hospital. Fecal incontinence is expensive and a potentially dangerous condition in terms of contamination and risk of skin ulceration
HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are dilated, engorged veins in the lining of the rectum. They are either external or internal.
FLATULENCE
As gas accumulates in the lumen of the intestines, the bowel wall stretches and distends (flatulence). It is a common cause of abdominal fullness, pain, and cramping. Normally intestinal gas escapes through the mouth (belching) or the anus (passing of flatus)
FECAL INCONTINENCE
Fecal incontinence is the inability to control passage of feces and gas from the anus. Incontinence harms a patient’s body image

outstanding notched Izod Impact
resistance. Due to its high degree
of toughness and resilience, KYDEX
sheet can also be stretched at
room temperature to twice its orig-
inal dimension without breaking.
Dimensional Stability
Low water absorption, extreme
formability, hot tear strength and
the ability to maintain wall thick-
ness give parts made with KYDEX
sheet high dimensional stability.
Weatherability
Certain monolithic grades of
KYDEX sheet are formulated for
weatherable applications, while
other grades employ a weather-
able cap sheet (either clear or
reverse-printed) that is permanent-
ly fused to the KYDEX substrate.
Flame Retardancy
Depending on grade, KYDEX sheet
carries fire ratings of UL 94 V-0 and
5V, UL 746C, FAR 25.853 (a) and

302, Class 1/A, and ASTM E-162.
Chemical Resistance
Sulfuric acid to brake fluid to car-
bon tetrachloride, high perform-
ance grades of KYDEX thermoplas-
tic alloys are more resistant to a
wider range of concentrated chem-
icals than any other thermoplastic.
Cleanability
Tough stains, scuffs, and graffiti can
be removed from KYDEX surfaces
using strong cleansers with no
staining, fading, or surface damage.
Design Flexibility
KYDEX sheet offers unprecedented
design and manufacturing flex-
ibility since numerous grades are
available to provide properties and
certified ratings required for
specialized applications.
An unlimited variety of flat and
three-dimensional effects can be
achieved since KYDEX sheet can

code requirements (ASTM E-84).
Miscellaneous Applications
The diversity of mechanical and
electrical properties, fire ratings,
textures, thicknesses, colors and
patterns encompassed by the 29
standard grades—and custom
grades—of KYDEX sheet, make it
suitable for an extraordinarily
diverse range of demanding
applications, from gun holsters
and channel buoys to hospital
beds and ice hockey targets.
Applications
Laminating
and Miter Folding
KYDEX®
sheet can be laminated
to wood, metal, gypsum, rigid
foam, and other substrates
using commercially available
adhesives, and by hot pressing
or cold pressing production
methods. The result is a protec-
tive surface that does not chip,
crack, break, or snap like high
pressure laminates, and is avail-
able in a range of thicknesses to
meet anticipated levels of
abuse. Depending on the grade,
color is integral, eliminating
dark edge lines that can be
unsightly, especially in heavier
gauges and against lighter colors.
Wood substrates laminated
with KYDEX sheet can also be
miter folded to produce seam-
less outside corners of cabi-
nets, drop-front shelving or
table legs—accomplished by
routing a V-groove (miter)
across the backside of the
wood without touching the
KYDEX sheet. Both mitered
wood edges are then sprayed
with adhesive and hinged on
the KYDEX sheet to close the
groove, forming a seamless
outside corner, improving
appearance, durability, cleanli-
ness, part alignment and struc-
tural integrity, while reducing
labor cost.
Typical applications include:
Commercial furniture, both
wood and steel
Store fixtures and case goods
Exhibits and displays
Partitions, doors, and panels
Virtually any laminated
product or surface in high-
traffic retail, institutional
and commercial interiors
KYDEX sheet is easy to saw,
die cut, shear, rout, drill, sand,
file, mill, and otherwise
machine using conventional
power tools. It can also be
post formed and brake formed
(with or without wire heating),
as well as heat welded to cre-
ate seamless, sanitary corners.
Joining can be accomplished
using screws, rivets, other
common fasteners or commer-
cially available adhesives—
without the cracking, chipping,
or snapping associated with
many thermoplastic and
thermoset sheet products.
The diversity of methods to
effectively form, fabricate,
machine, and join KYDEX sheet
opens limitless application pos-
sibilities, both functional and
decorative including:
Braces, brackets and supports
Perforated panels
Equipment shrouds and guards
Corner guards and crash rails
Kick plates and push plates
Freight container linings
Formed and/or laminated
products requiring simple
or complex secondary
operations
PRODUCTION METHODS
Thermoforming Membrane Pressing
For fast set-up and production
of plastic parts, especially large
parts in quantities from 500 to
several thousand, thermoform-
ing is commonly selected over
injection molding; tooling costs
can be 90 percent lower and
parts can be completed two-
to three-times more quickly.
Vacuum forming and pressure
forming both evacuate the
sealed air space between the
heated plastic and mold; pres-
sure forming adds air pressure
above the heated sheet to
achieve a higher quality finish
(sharp edges, undercuts, and
other close tolerance details).
KYDEX sheet is well
established as a premier
thermoforming sheet offering
numerous processing advan-
tages such as extreme
formability, hot tear strength,
and the ability to maintain
uniform wall thickness.
Typical applications include:
Equipment housings,
shrouds, enclosures
Vents and grilles
Interior components of air-
craft, mass transit vehicles,
trucks, and marine vessels
Commercial and institutional
furniture and seating
components
Hidden and exposed parts
such as chutes, braces and
equipment guards
Whereas thermoforming uses
air pressure to draw heated
plastic sheet into a mold, mem-
brane pressing uses an inflated
bladder or "membrane" to
physically press heated plastic
sheet onto a wood or compos-
ite substrate or "core," eliminat-
ing the need for molds.
Core surfaces can be flat or
machined to create three-
dimensional contours and
seamless edges with com-
pound curves since the flexible
membrane presses the plastic
into recesses and onto all
sides, encapsulating all but the
bottom core surface (which
can be laminated and heat-
welded at bottom edges for
total encapsulation).
The outstanding formability
of KYDEX sheet enables it to
conform fully to the core,
preserving sharp edges and
surface detail of three-dimen-
sional surfaces, while main-
taining uniform wall thickness
on high spots, low spots, and
sharp corners where other
sheet products may "thin out."
Typical applications include:
Raised panel cabinet doors
Table tops and workstation
surfaces
Corporate logo panels
Store fixture components
Commercial and institutional
furniture and seating
Kiosk panels

KYDEX sheet meets Class 1/A
requirements for applications such
as wallcovering, perforated
acoustical partitions, and acousti-
cal ceiling panels. KYDEX sheet
properties make it ideal for use in
environmentally-controlled
commercial, institutional and
industrial buildings, resisting high
impact, scuffs, gouges, abrasion
and harsh cleansers more effec-
tively than paint, wallpaper or
vinyl wallcovering.
Kiosk Housings
Thermoforming, flat laminating,
membrane pressing and miter
folding with KYDEX sheet in solid
colors, granite patterns, realistic
woodgrains and custom graphic
patterns, can produce flat and
seamless three-dimensional kiosk
components that withstand
extreme abuse in high traffic envi-
ronments, and keep looking new
over a longer service life.
Illuminated Signage Housings
Thermoforming of illuminated
signage housings can eliminate
the high cost of sheet metal fabrica-
tion and painting. KYDEX sheet for
signage housings is offered in a bi-
layer two-color (duplex) version, and
as a single-color sheet. The exterior
side of duplex sheet is available in
any of several standard colors, while
the interior side is reflective bright
white, eliminating the labor costs
and flaking associated with painted
sheet metal housings.
Exhibits and Displays
Flat and three-dimensional compo-
nents surfaced with KYDEX sheet
withstand the abuse of high traffic
environments, resist harsh
cleansers and chemicals and over-
come the drawbacks of conven-
tional surfacing methods.
Available with Class 1/A and other
fire ratings.
Food Processing
KYDEX sheet can satisfy NSF
requirements while improving the
performance of equipment hous-
ings, covers and guards, as well as
ceiling and wall panels in plants
that process meat, poultry and
other food/beverage products.
Clean Room Walls and Ceilings
KYDEX sheet fire-rated ceiling pan-
els are approved for use in Class 10
rated clean rooms as tested accord-
ing to Federal Standard 209D. The
panels also meet Class 1/A fire
code requirements (ASTM E-84).
Miscellaneous Applications
The diversity of mechanical and
electrical properties, fire ratings,
textures, thicknesses, colors and
patterns encompassed by the 29
standard grades—and custom
grades—of KYDEX sheet, make it
suitable for an extraordinarily
diverse range of demanding
applications, from gun holsters
and channel buoys to hospital
beds and ice hockey targets.
Applications
Laminating
and Miter Folding
KYDEX®
sheet can be laminated
to wood, metal, gypsum, rigid
foam, and other substrates
using commercially available
adhesives, and by hot pressing
or cold pressing production
methods. The result is a protec-
tive surface that does not chip,
crack, break, or snap like high
pressure laminates, and is avail-
able in a range of thicknesses to
meet anticipated levels of
abuse. Depending on the grade,
color is integral, eliminating
dark edge lines that can be
unsightly, especially in heavier
gauges and against lighter colors.
Wood substrates laminated
with KYDEX sheet can also be
miter folded to produce seam-
less outside corners of cabi-
nets, drop-front shelving or
table legs—accomplished by
routing a V-groove (miter)
across the backside of the
wood without touching the
KYDEX sheet. Both mitered
wood edges are then sprayed
with adhesive and hinged on
the KYDEX sheet to close the
groove, forming a seamless
outside corner, improving
appearance, durability, cleanli-
ness, part alignment and struc-
tural integrity, while reducing
labor cost.
Typical applications include:
Commercial furniture, both
wood and steel
Store fixtures and case goods
Exhibits and displays
Partitions, doors, and panels
Virtually any laminated
product or surface in high-
traffic retail, institutional
and commercial interiors
KYDEX sheet is easy to saw,
die cut, shear, rout, drill, sand,
file, mill, and otherwise
machine using conventional
power tools. It can also be
post formed and brake formed
(with or without wire heating),
as well as heat welded to cre-
ate seamless, sanitary corners.
Joining can be accomplished
using screws, rivets, other
common fasteners or commer-
cially available adhesives—
without the cracking, chipping,
or snapping associated with
many thermoplastic and
thermoset sheet products.
The diversity of methods to
effectively form, fabricate,
machine, and join KYDEX sheet
opens limitless application pos-
sibilities, both functional and
decorative including:
Braces, brackets and supports
Perforated panels
Equipment shrouds and guards
Corner guards and crash rails
Kick plates and push plates
Freight container linings
Formed and/or laminated
products requiring simple
or complex secondary
operations
PRODUCTION METHODS
Thermoforming Membrane Pressing
For fast set-up and production
of plastic parts, especially large
parts in quantities from 500 to
several thousand, thermoform-
ing is commonly selected over
injection molding; tooling costs
can be 90 percent lower and
parts can be completed two-
to three-times more quickly.
Vacuum forming and pressure
forming both evacuate the
sealed air space between the
heated plastic and mold; pres-
sure forming adds air pressure
above the heated sheet to
achieve a higher quality finish
(sharp edges, undercuts, and
other close tolerance details).
KYDEX sheet is well
established as a premier
thermoforming sheet offering
numerous processing advan-
tages such as extreme
formability, hot tear strength,
and the ability to maintain
uniform wall thickness.
Typical applications include:
Equipment housings,
shrouds, enclosures
Vents and grilles
Interior components of air-
craft, mass transit vehicles,
trucks, and marine vessels
Commercial and institutional
furniture and seating
components
Hidden and exposed parts
such as chutes, braces and
equipment guards
Whereas thermoforming uses
air pressure to draw heated
plastic sheet into a mold, mem-
brane pressing uses an inflated
bladder or "membrane" to
physically press heated plastic
sheet onto a wood or compos-
ite substrate or "core," eliminat-
ing the need for molds.
Core surfaces can be flat or
machined to create three-
dimensional contours and
seamless edges with com-
pound curves since the flexible
membrane presses the plastic
into recesses and onto all
sides, encapsulating all but the
bottom core surface (which
can be laminated and heat-
welded at bottom edges for
total encapsulation).
The outstanding formability
of KYDEX sheet enables it to
conform fully to the core,
preserving sharp edges and
surface detail of three-dimen-
sional surfaces, while main-
taining uniform wall thickness
on high spots, low spots, and
sharp corners where other
sheet products may "thin out."
Typical applications include:
Raised panel cabinet doors
Table tops and workstation
surfaces
Corporate logo panels
Store fixture components
Commercial and institutional
furniture and seating
Kiosk panels

KYDEX® thermoplastics are
offered in eight textures.
Each texture presents its own
unique opportunities and
challenges. Textures are
embossed into the sheet
during the extrusion process,
so available textures may be
limited based on material
grade, thickness, or width.
Pressure forming with
KYDEX® material offers
limitless opportunities
for part texture.
Above all else, our new colour palette is designed
to inspire. Populated with the practical solutions
your pursuits demand. You will undoubtedly notice
themes, complements, and contrasts within each
of the six collections. But there are no rules - pull
from the palette as you see fit.
Each tab represents a stock colour.
