This document discusses blue phosphor materials made from cerium-doped strontium barium niobate (SBN) for applications in holographic data storage, lighting, and displays. SBN has a tetragonal tungsten bronze structure and can be prepared using a sol-gel method for better control of structure and homogeneity. Characterization of cerium-doped SBN using XRD and IR spectroscopy confirmed that the SBN structure was maintained while optical properties changed, making it a potential blue emitter material.
