Aerospace Engineering
● Taught a class of 10 topics like Materials, Design Optimization, Fracture, Gear Design, Clutch and Brake Design
Design EngineerTristar International – October 2014 – November 2014
● Worked on a team to Analyze, Document and Rectify noise and vibrations in a Hydraulic Torque Wrench Prototype
● Remodeled the Bolt Tensioner and designed Impact Sockets for Square Drives
● Designed the plant layout for a new manufacturing plant, which was approved for implementation
Engineering InternZF Steering Gear (India) Pvt. Ltd. – December 2011-January 2012
Worked with various assembly teams to make the assembly line faster and more efficient
● Observed and Operated VMC's and HMC's at the manufacturing plant for Drilling, Milling, Reaming and Grinding
PROJECTS
Vehicle Structure OptimizationRutgers University – Spring 2015
● Reduced the weight of the space frame of a generalized sedan car while keeping the deflection under the permissible limit
● Explored over 1500 design possibilities using modeFrontier and ANSYS
● Presented the data in form of Scatter charts and Multi-History charts to study the effect of each parameter on the deflection
Design of Anthropomorphic arm for Service ApplicationsRutgers University – Fall 2015
● Led a team to use an integrated design approach which considered the Kinematic, Strength and Drive Train constraints while
minimizing the weight of the arm using complex optimization
● Wrote codes for Forward and Inverse Kinematics of the arm in MATLAB
● Modeled the optimized design and simulated its movement in SolidWorks
Design and Fabrication of Composite Plates for given LoadingUniversity of Pune – Spring 2014
● Lead programmer on the project for Finite Element Analysis and for Optimizing Stacking Sequence of the composite plate.
Both codes were written in MATLAB
● Worked on a team to carry out Hand Lay-Up and Vacuum Bagging Techniques to fabricate the optimized design and carried
out Formalized Flexural Strength and Deflection Tests
● Used graphical representations to compare results obtained from our FEA Program, SolidWorks and Formalized tests
