This reflective essay summarizes the author's experience with implementing blended learning at Kimamon National High School during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some key points:
- The sudden transition to online learning was challenging for both students and teachers, as the school lacked resources like reliable internet access.
- Modular print materials were primarily used for instruction since most students could not access online learning. However, this method resulted in low learning outcomes, with only 60% of students demonstrating understanding.
- The pandemic highlighted areas for improvement in the school's educational system. While blended learning was a step toward more technology-based instruction, more development is still needed to fully support this new approach.

The document discusses the internalization initiatives of the author's university or college in terms of mobility, curriculum, and partnerships. It identifies some weak points such as lack of research involvement, limited internet connectivity among staff, and need for more training opportunities. An action plan is proposed to address these weaknesses through requiring involvement in research and extension activities, providing training and professional development opportunities both locally and internationally, obtaining internet access for all staff, and encouraging continuous professional growth of faculty members. The plan aims to strengthen the internationalization efforts of the institution.
Seizing the Agenda | Unleashing the curriculum designer in us all (Secondary)Wholeeducation
The document discusses curriculum innovation and the spectrum of innovation from incremental to radical changes. It explores factors that influence the adoption of innovations including relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Business leaders argue that education must better prepare students for life after school and support the development of skills, character, and attitudes needed to progress. Teachers recognize the need for paradigm shifts in education to focus more on student abilities than age and help students find their passions. Overhauling the current system to make these changes will require overcoming barriers of tradition and bureaucracy.
Since 2015, we’ve made 28 core investments in family comms, differentiating instruction, real-world relevance, & data-driven improvement.
Now, after seven years and a ground-shifting global pandemic, we’re taking a step back to reflect on what we got right, what we didn’t expect, and how we can be more effective going forward.
This K-12 Impact Report is our first attempt to examine the collective influence that our portfolio has had on the K-12 education sector.
Making it happen: teaching the technology generationwillstewart
This is a copy of my presentation to the JISC Regional Support Centre for Yorkshire & Humber on June 10th at Bradford University. The sub-title of the presentation was Beyond \"no significant difference\", on the basis that, in education, we use technology to do things the same way as we have always done rather than use it to do things differently. The theme of the presentation was that we, the teachers, rather than our students, are the technology generation. Because the use of digital technology has been completely normalised and fully integrated by our students, they don\'t see it as technology. They are the \"no technology generation\", and it is us who need to be taught how to use it in ways that engage our students and make their education relevant.
This document outlines the need to prepare students for the global age by transforming elementary education. It discusses how schools must shift from 20th century models to developing students' global competencies through a revitalized curriculum, instruction, and assessments focused on global themes and perspectives. Key aspects of a global elementary school include teacher development in cultural knowledge and technology skills, interdisciplinary thematic units, authentic assessments, and opportunities for students to learn languages and connect with other cultures through travel and community resources. The goal is to start developing global skills at the elementary level to ensure students' future success.
The document provides details about the student's internship project with Unschool, an edtech company. The objectives of the study were to understand customer expectations in markets where the company was unsuccessful in order to provide suggestions. Through surveys of 55 leads, the student found that prospects in these markets placed more importance on practical learning opportunities and prices compared to other platforms. Recommendations included expanding course options, promoting internship opportunities more effectively, and establishing a dedicated market penetration team.
State of Teaching and Learning in the 21st CenturyLucy Gray
Lucy Gray gave a presentation on current trends in 21st century teaching and learning. She discussed four key themes converging in education: the growth of social media, focus on developing 21st century skills, valuing skills like collaboration, and providing learning environments conducive to education. Gray used The School at Columbia as an example that embodies these themes through its constructivist curriculum and emphasis on technology, long-term planning for skills, and collaborative environment.
The document discusses challenges with e-learning implementation in South Africa. It notes that while the conditions seem perfect for alternative learning due to issues like distance, educational problems, and mobile proliferation, large-scale e-learning has not been achieved. Reasons given include a proliferation of small, under-researched "pilots"; implementers not conducting sufficient research; researchers not directly implementing; and large projects being poorly researched with little reflection on failures. The iCount project is presented as a successful example of e-learning reaching thousands of teachers, but challenges in sustaining it are also discussed.

This session is aimed at managers with responsibility for the delivery and evaluation of online learning and teaching. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic colleges have been forced to make an abrupt shift to remote learning, often existing in makeshift offices. Join us as we examine the challenges that this new environment presents and the lessons learned thus far from approaches developed in other UK nations and further afield.
We will share our thoughts on what leaders have learned about how to manage their institution during this difficult time and how they are addressing the challenges now and anticipating those in the future. Colleagues will be invited to join the discussion, raise questions and contribute examples from their own experience.

The Centre for Education and International Development at the University of Cambridge conducts research on how education contributes to socioeconomic development and improving outcomes in developing countries. From 2005-2010, it led a Research Consortium on Educational Outcomes and Poverty including partners in the UK, India, Pakistan, Ghana, and Kenya. The consortium's research objectives were to understand the relationships between education and poverty, how educational outcomes can be promoted, and how policy can achieve social and economic transformation. The research used quantitative and qualitative methods like household surveys and case studies across different locations.
ADAPTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW NORMAL EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN THE PHILI...Yasmine Anino
The document summarizes the adaption and implementation of the new normal educational system in the Philippine setting. It discusses that while other Southeast Asian countries effectively implemented alternative forms of education early on, the Philippines is just beginning due to a late start in subscribing to digital education. It also notes several challenges the Philippine educational system faces, including a lack of technology availability and affordability. The document provides an overview of the current status of the Philippine educational system and the efforts of the Department of Education to prepare for distance learning starting in August, though many challenges remain regarding teacher training and student access to technology and resources.
The document discusses how Leadership Public Schools is using open-source educational resources to transform their urban high schools. They are using resources like CK-12 customizable textbooks to concurrently teach literacy and content. Teachers collaborate to customize texts with literacy supports. Data and audience response technologies put data in students' hands to empower them. Open-source solutions are being developed that are low-cost and leverage existing technologies. The real power is collaborative innovation - resources can be continually improved through collaboration between teachers, schools, and students.

How to Fix the Import Error in the Odoo 17Celine George
An import error occurs when a program fails to import a module or library, disrupting its execution. In languages like Python, this issue arises when the specified module cannot be found or accessed, hindering the program's functionality. Resolving import errors is crucial for maintaining smooth software operation and uninterrupted development processes.

5. Every Filipino's day-to-day existence has been changed
with Covid-19, from the poorest to the most affluent. We
spoke in a certain way, and we walked in a different way. It did,
however, open up opportunities in the sphere of education, an
opportunity to learn, explore, and modify the DepEd's
educational system in terms of blended learning.
This method is not new to the Philippine educational
system, as numerous schools and institutions around the
country have long used it. Traditional ways to education
transitioned to blended learning during the pandemic,
according to DepEd [1].
5
6. ○ In Kimamon National High School, technology contest the
skills and ability of every teacher consider the following:
○ It has been a substantial issue for every student as well who
were not capable of providing internet connection at home.
○ We are all unprepared for the abrupt transition from traditional
learning to new normal teaching.
○ On the other hand, it gives an optimistic view that they could
adapt to technological advancement and gradually put it into
effect.
6
8. Covid-19 pandemic enables us to move away from
our regular classroom instruction and instead focus on
learning in an intangible way.
Students practiced filling out take-home learning activity
sheets and completing take-home portfolios.
We pursued Modular Print of delivery mode since majority
of our pupils, especially those in grades 7 to 9, were unable
to access the online world of teaching.
Some Grade 10 to Senior High School advisers used to
implement a mixture of constructivist principle and
electronic way of teaching, however, modular print was still
a support.
8
10. ○ As a result, not just for students, but also in the teaching
process, blended learning has been considered insufficient. It
may be an opportunity to hone our skills as digital savvy
individuals, however our school lacks resources such as free
internet access and learning tools. To be honest, based on their
performance evaluation and written test, even using the
Modular Print technique to learning cannot guarantee even
60% learning capability. In the future, I can’t even claim to
produce graduates who were competitive enough as product of
the Covid-19 situation.
10
12. ○ The school system's response to Covid-19 will speak for itself
and the educational system should be improved or developed
further. Blended learning is one step closer to virtual reality,
which technology does occasionally innovate, but I believe this
is insufficient because we are still in the planning stages. It is still
necessary to investigate and consider the positive aspects of the
pandemic. This is only the start of the Philippines' brightest
educational system. I am challenged by the positivity shown on
the effect of covid-19 as a government employee who seeks to
address the needs of my student. This pandemic will always be
remembered as a cage where teachers continually grows and
eager to “walk the talk” on giving quality education for all.
12
14. ○ The circumstance poses a particular difficulty within the new
normal to the decision-making process of every educational
leader. Accepting this challenge as an educator gives options for
reacting to challenges, problems, and trends that are developing
and will arise in the future as a result of the COVID-19
pandemic. Blended learning after all is a challenge for me and an
opportunity to develop more my teaching ability to the next
level – putting in act on how to be a 21st century teacher.
