Objectives of the training
Game-
9:15 Soil quality
• The participants will brainstorm about the soil types, make list on whiteboard.
• Presentation about the soil types- (3 different soil types- Red soil, Sandy soil, and black
or gray soil)
• Activity- (1) shows 5 kinds of soil types (in classroom), the participants will choose 3
important soil types, and they will explain about the soil type.
(2) Go outside and find three types of soil in the field.
(3) Go to their plantation, and the participants will explain what type of soil in
their plantation is.
10:00 Plant Selection/ Planning
Activities- (1) divide the participants into two groups. Each group will write down the most
important things for choosing the plant selection on the pieces of paper.
(2) Presentation about the plant selection
(3) Participants will glue on the pieces of papers on whiteboard. (Separated by 4
places)
-Teaching about the examples of suitable crops
-Check the participants’ understanding.
(Ask the participants one by one, eg- winter crops-participants will tell what the winter
crops are.)
(4) Go to the garden area, and the participants will discuss plants for the school project.

11:00 Nutrition and Chlorophyll
-Presentation about the nutrition, and minerals in the soil, and how do they work.

11:20 Garden Management
-Participants brainstorm on methods for managing garden.
(Participants will write 5 methods for each on the pieces of paper)
-Presentation about Management (Water, weeding, loose soil, Insects and diseases, and
fertilizer- organic and chemical)
