Process of creating the soundtrack for our horror trailer.

1. GARAGEBAND

2. Research
• We researched different types of horror
soundtracks/ instrumentals.
• Then we noted down the instruments that where
used in psychological thrillers.
• Stoker was our source of inspiration for the
sound
• We liked the use of the piano being played
throughout the trailer and building up of the
crescendo.

4.  We looked on
YouTube at different
horror sound tracks.
 We wanted to
include a lullaby
during the trailer for
the bedroom scene of
Victoria being
taunted by the
darkness, as a lullaby
would contradict the
scene.

5. GARAGEBAND
• We uploaded the lullaby soundtrack onto garage
band and began cutting some parts out and
overlaying instruments. This was a difficult
process, as Desiree and I both do not have
experience with garage band.
• We struggled for a while to get the timing right
with what is happening in the trailer.
