Baseball is the most popular sport in the Dominican
Republic.
Every year, 400-600* young players receive Baseball
contracts and singing bonuses (2020 ave = $184K)
GALLANT has access to many of these athletes.

PROBLEM:
1. Most athletes require seed funding that will provide them with the
resources to train and compete for professional baseball contracts.
2. Players need bridge loans that carry them over between the time
they sign a contract, and the time they receive their first payments
(3-8 months)
3. Few players have Agent representation in the US, ready, until they
are signed as professionals.

SOLUTION:
1. GALLANT will gather data analytics for the purpose of investments
into young athletes who are yet not signed and collect a % of their
future contract.
2. GALLANT will provide short term bridge loans for players who have
recently signed contracts (3-8 months).
3. GALLANT will aim to provide athlete representation in the US for
these athletes, for the lifetime of their career.

Informatics
Sabermetrics or SABRmetrics is the empirical analysis
of baseball, especially baseball statistics that measure
in-game activity.
Sabermetricians collect and summarize the relevant
data from this in-game activity to answer specific
questions. GALLANT is positioned perfectly, to capture
large amounts of this structured data, in real-time,
accurately and precisely for analysis.

Objective
GALLANT aims to provide the funding necessary for Young
athletes to make it to the major professional Baseball teams,
by investing in the future of SPECIFIC athletes, who show
the highest potential of success but to also provide short term
services to athletes in need of bridge loans.

Simon is the Founder of Gallant Partners LLC,
with a background stemming from the Fintech
and High-Tech solutions marketplace. A serial
entrepreneur with 2 exits in the retail &
institutional trading space.
Héctor Acevedo has a Bachelor’s degree in business
administration from Universidad APEC
(UNAPEC). Hector has worked as a pitching coach,
scout and trainer for Kuki Acevedo Baseball Academy
while serving as a consultant for various private
baseball academies.
Michael has worked with MLB and MLBPA
since 1996 in a variety of capacities. With a
career focused on the business of sports,
Michael has held positions within each MLB
and the NBA league office. Michael is
currently an adjunct professor at Columbia
University, teaching Graduate level Sports
Management.

  • 3. 3 DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Baseball is the most popular sport in the Dominican Republic. Every year, 400-600* young players receive Baseball contracts and singing bonuses (2020 ave = $184K) GALLANT has access to many of these athletes.   • 4. 4 PROBLEM: 1. Most athletes require seed funding that will provide them with the resources to train and compete for professional baseball contracts. 2. Players need bridge loans that carry them over between the time they sign a contract, and the time they receive their first payments (3-8 months) 3. Few players have Agent representation in the US, ready, until they are signed as professionals.
  • 5. 5 SOLUTION: 1. GALLANT will gather data analytics for the purpose of investments into young athletes who are yet not signed and collect a % of their future contract. 2. GALLANT will provide short term bridge loans for players who have recently signed contracts (3-8 months). 3. GALLANT will aim to provide athlete representation in the US for these athletes, for the lifetime of their career.
  • 6. 6 Informatics Sabermetrics or SABRmetrics is the empirical analysis of baseball, especially baseball statistics that measure in-game activity. Sabermetricians collect and summarize the relevant data from this in-game activity to answer specific questions. GALLANT is positioned perfectly, to capture large amounts of this structured data, in real-time, accurately and precisely for analysis.

Hector has worked as a pitching coach, scout and trainer for Kuki Acevedo Baseball Academy while serving as a consultant for various private baseball academies. Michael has worked with MLB and MLBPA since 1996 in a variety of capacities. With a career focused on the business of sports, Michael has held positions within each MLB and the NBA league office. Michael is currently an adjunct professor at Columbia University, teaching Graduate level Sports Management.
