This study explored the relationships between time perspective, volunteering motivations, and subjective well-being in order to identify profiles of volunteers in Singapore. 100 participants completed questionnaires on these topics. 3 clusters of volunteers emerged based on their responses: Maladaptive, Adaptive, and Apathetic. The Maladaptive cluster had a mostly past-negative time perspective and was highly motivated to volunteer for protective reasons. The Adaptive cluster had a mostly past-positive time perspective and was highly motivated to volunteer to understand experiences. The study found volunteering profiles were more influenced by past and present time perspectives than future perspectives, and were motivated by social relationships, self-enhancement, and addressing personal problems. Organizations are advised to highlight these motivations
