UPMC's social media efforts grew in FY2014 with more video and blog content creation. The Health Beat Blog launch was successful with nearly 20,000 sessions. The UPMC Facebook page saw a large increase in fans. Unpaid posts that performed best included photos and stories that engaged emotions. Paid Facebook posts promoted content and outreached over 1 million users. Google+ Hangouts hosted by experts brought new engagement to UPMC's page. The social media team will continue expanding efforts across major channels in FY2015.
