Growing Renewable Energy in the Future of India: Opportunities over Challengesijsrd.com
As the demand is going to increase the generations have to be increased. So as the time is going to pass the conventional energy sources are going to be decreased and it might happen that after some years these sources are going to be exhausted. The best alternative of conventional energy sources are the non-conventional energy sources, which are never going to become exhausted because they are the natural sources and they are permanently available for use. The challenges required for the conventional energy for increasing population demand with the use of renewable energy the future of India get good opportunities to full fill it. Among the various non-conventional energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, Hydro energy, tidal energy, wave energy, Ocean Thermal energy, geothermal energy, Biomass energy, fuel cell energy, Hydrogen etc. are never going to become exhausted because they are natural sources and they are permanently available for use. The sharp increase in energy consumption particularly in the past several decades has raised fears of exhausting the globe's reserves of fossil fuels in the near future. Approximately, 90% of our energy consumption comes from fossil fuels. Energy and development are inter-related. Energy sector is the backbone of any country's growth and economy. India is one of the largest growing economies in the world and today not just India, but the whole world is looking for alternate sources of energy like wind, solar, hydro, biomass, biofuel etc. known as renewable energy sources for Sustainable energy development.

Scenario of Rural Electrification in India- Challenges and ImpactIJERA Editor
In this paper, the present scenario of rural electrification in India is taken into account. Basically, the electrification in this country is facing a lot of problem and is a growing matter of concern for all. The development in production is not reaching the one who need them. Also taking into picture the present sources of energy it is difficult to make the electricity available to the people belonging to rural areas who don’t have much source of income. To overcome this drawback we can utilise renewable sources of energy which is easily available and accessible. Also harvesting this will not cost much except the initial cost of setting up the device to utilise this type of energy. Many projects have been initiated by the government of India to provide subsidy and equipments like solar lantern and solar cooker etc. to the rural population but this didn’t turn out to be effective as the follow could not be done by the people to maintain the devices. This can be overcome by implementing off-grid projects which can be initiated at small levels so that people don’t have burden to maintain them and it even don’t have any adverse effect to environment or society.

transportation, its hurdles and some recommendations that
can foster electric vehicle implementation.
Renewable Energy Power Projects for Rural Electrification in IndiaMohit Sharma
As demand for energy is increasing around the world & in India, there is a positive growth trend coming in the renewable energy sector also. There are many rural and remote areas which are energy deficient.
Private companies are encouraged by Government creating opportunities by various governmental schemes like Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojna, Distributed Decentralized Generation and support in finance, distribution, technology, land, etc. As every area has its dynamics and differs from others in terms of topography, density of population and energy needs, there is a need of study for specific features related to a region (like a cluster of 19 villages in Gaya, Bihar requiring about 750kw Plant studied here) with the help of surveys, financial tools and earlier standards. Other renewable sources and areas are also covered in the book. The confidential information is edited-redacted.
One of the primary needs for socio-economic development in any nation in the world is the provision of reliable electricity supply systems with lower carbon footprint levels. The purpose of this work is the development of a hybrid Power system that harnesses the renewable energy in sun and electricity to generate electricity. The working model can able to run on dual mode- solar and electricity. It can also be driven independently either by solar or electricity. The battery can be charge from solar panel (40W) or by power supply. The household single phase A.C. power supply of 230V is converted into 12V D.C. using step down transformer and rectifying circuit. The working model can achieve energy saving, low carbon emission, environmental protection for the upcoming future of human life.

Resources of Renewable Energy in IndiaIJERA Editor
Renewable energy resources sector growth in India has been significant, even for electricity generation from
renewable sources. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain,
tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable (naturally replenished). Even for the decentralized systems, the
growth for solar home lighting systems has been 300%, solar lanterns 99% and solar photovoltaic water pumps
196%. This is a phenomenal growth in the renewable energy sector mainly for applications that were considered
to be supplied only through major electricity utilities. Some large projects have been proposed, and a 35,000
km2 area of the Thar Desert has been set aside for solar power projects, sufficient to generate 700 to 2,100 giga
watts. Renewable energy systems are also being looked upon as a major application for electrification of 20,000
remote and unelectrified villages and hamlets by 2007 and all households in such villages and hamlets by 2018.

Future of Solar Energy in India.pdf

Future of Solar Energy in India
foxdenlane.com/future-of-solar-energy-in-india
India has been an active participant in the drive of generating green energy. Regardless of
the production cost that needs to be invested, India has stepped forward in every domain
of green energy. The Welspun Solar MP Project, one of the largest solar power projects in
India, depicts this core idea. As solar power is becoming an ideal alternative to traditional
sources of energy, solar power companies are supporting the promotion of solar
products in India.
India’s Green Power Drives
India has set its feet, successfully, in the efforts of generating renewable energy. Plus, it is
not restricted to solar power, only. The nation has invested a great deal of time and effort
in various domains of renewable energy including hydropower, wind energy, and solar
power.
Gujarat, one of the pioneer states in developing solar power, has generated 7,180 MW of
solar power so far. 151 MW of power capacity is offered by the solar power plant in
Madhya Pradesh. Besides, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra are the states with
the highest wind-power capacity. Along with that, there are many other states that have
wind-power plants in India.
Sardar Sarovar Hydroelectric Power Plant and Bhakra Nangal Hydroelectric Power Plant
are noted examples of India’s hydropower capacity. However, solar power has provided a
cheaper alternative in comparison to wind and hydropower. Therefore, the nation
supports the use and expansion of solar energy. However, India has never taken a step
back in the area of renewable energy generation, when execution is viable.
Solar panel manufacturers in India, thus, provide a comprehensive purchase and
installation plan for interested buyers. They ensure to share the load with buyers to
encourage the use of solar panels in India.
Potential of Solar Energy in India
Energy derived from the sun rays is inexhaustible in nature. India’s population is vast. To
beat energy-associated problems, such as exhaustion and costs, solar energy becomes an
expedient alternative. Solar power driving is taking place across many nations. Switching
to solar energy has not one but many benefits for India. These are-
Better Standard of Living: The population living in rural India does not have
access to many facilities that are available to the urban masses. It leads to poor
standards of living for them. Electricity, being one of the major concerns, provided
through solar power would enhance living conditions for the rural population.
2. 2/2
Decrease Unemployment: Despite the rise of the service sector and a boom in
the industrial arena, job opportunities are still not enough for the youth.
Establishing more solar power plants would create more job opportunities in the
energy sector. Owing to this, dedicated training programs will be created for
students that may further the job scope in the education sector as well.
Bettering Lives of Rural Women: A stretched timeframe of every day is spent
in the smoky kitchens by the rural woman. While they are contributing to
supporting their family’s income by working equally on farms, the use of solar
power would provide them with better facilities in the kitchen.
Mitigation of Health Problems: While fossil fuels are the major source of
creating energy for powering residential spaces, they are, also, a huge factor in
generating harmful emissions. Many life-threatening diseases like tumors and
cancer are taking up space in human lives due to the burning of fossil fuels. Solar
energy, being a green alternative, provides cleaner energy without any harm to
human health.
The Final Thoughts
If used with the right approach, solar power has a grand potential in a country like India.
Despite several solar products in India being manufactured by renowned brands,
people are not willing to shift their energy preferences. Misconceptions around solar
energy still have taken over the minds of people. Therefore, more awareness has to be
created about the progressive impacts solar energy can offer.
