This document outlines the fundamental rights granted by the Indian constitution. It divides these rights into three categories: those available only to citizens, those available to both citizens and foreigners except enemy aliens, and those available to citizens and foreigners except enemy aliens. The rights available only to citizens include non-discrimination, equality of opportunity in public employment, and certain freedoms such as speech, assembly, movement and profession. Rights available to both citizens and foreigners except enemies include equality before the law and equal protection of laws. Rights available to both groups except enemies also address life, liberty, elementary education, arrest, forced labor, child labor, freedom of religion and exemptions from religious taxes or instruction.
