I2R Started OSGi Activities in Sept. 2000
I2R Delivered Residential Gateway for NSC in April, 2001
I2R, IDA (Infocomm Development Authority) proposed the OSGi
Compliant RG in Sept. 2001
Completed Requirement Specification in May, 2002 in consultation with
MNCs and Small/Medium Enterprises:
E.g. chip makers, infrastructure providers, device manufacturers, telcos,
ISPs, broadcasters, security service providers (20 members)
I2R appointed by IDA to Develop OSGi RG in June, 2002
I2R completed RG Prototype and OSGi Services in June, 2003
IDA hosted OSGi Seminar and Tutorial in Singapore on 26-27 Aug
2003, with support from the OSGi Alliance

Operating System: based on Linux 2.4.17 kernel and Redhat

OSGi Platform: ProSyst mBedded Server, OSGi 2.0 certified
Security Support: stateful firewall, VPN and SSL
Supported Protocols: TCP/IP, PPPoE, PPP, DHCP, SNMP,
SIP and H.323 for VoIP
OSGi Demo Services: home automation service, building
auto. service, home surveillance service, remote file
management service
Others: web-based configuration,system logging, remote
firmware upgrading

X-10 home automation service: Home appliances and sensors
connected to RG using X-10 protocol, an OSGi service bundle
for appliances control
Building automation service: Control the ST Sentinel system
Home surveillance service: Web camera connected to RG
through USB, an OSGi service bundle for home monitoring
Remote file management service: remotely manage file system
in RG.
