After many hard days of work at the
site, Suman came to learn about
Unitech’s training program. Manju, a
child care work trainer at Unitech,
expressed high opinions of MC and
their positive work with children. Im-
pressed with Suman’s keen interest
and 10th pass qualification, they met
with Unitech’s in-charge. After perfect
attendance and participation in the
training program, even when ill, Su-
man now works for Mobile Creches’
main centre. Her dedicated and lov-
ing spirit makes her a great ally for MC,
and in turn, we can provide her with a
job that she feels good about. She
says, “now [she] can see [her] dreams
getting fulfilled.”
This quarter, we trained 32 Govern-
ment Functionaries, 34 local commu-
nity women in ECCD, 85 current EECD
workers, and 8 MC personnel.
Suman was a simple young woman of only
19 years old when she had to move to a
construction camp in Gurgaon with her hus-
band and 1.5 year old child. Despite loving
her work as a teacher in their village’s
school, her family had to move in search of
better wages to educate their own child.
