1. A Global Supply Chain Management Student Weighs In
on CSCMP Europe 2007
“It is not every day that an ISLI student has the opportunity to have a personal conversation with a senior VP of supply chain at
Nestlé, enjoy lunch with a supply chain manager from Disney Park, and participate in a Discussion Group Session with a panel
of global supply chain experts. But this is exactly what I was able to do at CSCMP Europe 2007 in Paris. These professionals
didn’t treat us like students, but like future supply chain practitioners. We really appreciated that.
I learned something new about supply chain management every hour at CSCMP Europe 2007, and was able
to put in practice the knowledge I learned in my ISLI studies. Thanks to the CSCMP staff, I felt like I was
a member of a friendly community where everyone knew each other and anyone new was easily integrated.
I would definitely like to assist at other CSCMP conferences, not only because of the high quality of the
speakers and topics, but also because of the outstanding colleagues I met.”
