1) Marco is a student learning fractions from his teacher Mr. Windu. To demonstrate halves, Mr. Windu cuts a student's desk in half with his lightsaber, shocking the class.
2) The next day, Marco oversleeps and is almost late for class. Mr. Windu has the students practice cutting training droids in half with their lightsabers. Marco succeeds in cutting his droid into equal halves on the third try.
3) Mr. Windu then introduces the next fraction - quarters, which are four equal pieces that make up a whole, rather than two pieces like halves. He will teach the class about quarters at their next lesson.

Final pp COMPARATIVE INVESTIGATION ON SHEAR STRENGTH PREDICTION MODELS FOR SF...mamta barmola
"In the last four decades, many equations have been proposed to estimate the shear strength of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) beams. However, in terms of accuracy and uniformity of the prediction, there is considerable diversity between existing available models in literature. It is very necessary to point out the most correct model for prediction of shear strength. In this study, the shear strength prediction for SFRC beams without stirrups can be made by using seven exiting models. The predictions from seven models are compared to the test results of 185 SFRC beams without stirrups. It is found that the proposed equation by Narayanan and Darwish (1987) shows comparatively good agreement with regard to the existing test results''.

1. Fraction / Starwars game story:
(Name of character will be chosen by player, default name will be Marco.)
Chapter 1 / Level 0: Prologue and Tutorial
The young apprentice sat there, surrounded by his fellow class mates as their teacher, Mr.Windu,
explained the lesson plan.
“Listen well my pupils, I will only say this once. Despite the fact of you all being trained in the ways of
the force and combat training, you still need to learn the mathematical laws of the worlds. I assume
that you’ve covered the basics so now we’re moving on to fractions.” The master explained.
An awkward silence rang throughout the classroom, showing that not one of the pupils knew what
these ‘fractions’ where. Marco raised his hand, seemingly the only one brave enough to ask.
“Yes Marco, You have a question?” Mr.Windu said, watching him closely.
“Indeed Sir, Just what are Fractions?” Marco asked, not knowing.
Windu sighed and swiftly drew his gleaming purpleLightsaber and cut the desk of a front-row
student in two straight down the middle as a frightened gasp echoed around the room.
“That my pupils is a fraction…” he used his plentiful powers to lift both pieces of the table so the
whole class could see. “Two exactly equal pieces, that form together to make one whole of
something, are called Halves. Written as ½ Remember that my pupils.”
The class sat there in shock, the boy whose desk was slashed in two fainting and slumping over the
back of his chair. Mace sighed and looked to the student to his left. “Aslla, please take Charles here
to the infirmary. I feel that he won’t be attending class for a while.”
The teacher looked at the clock and sighed again. “That is all for the day my pupils. You may leave.
Good evening to you all.”
Marco and his friends left the room quietly, going back to their dormitories to retire for the evening.
“Yo Marco, You see that? Windu cut the table in two!? Is he crazy? He could’ve chopped Charles’ leg
off!” Marco’s friend, Kallum said, sounding frightened, awed and overjoyed all at the same time.
“Well, I’m going to sleep. Adinos!”
Marco shook his head and walked further down the hall, turning left into his dorm-room. He didn’t
bother to wash or change, he could do that in the morning before his next class. He just kicked his
shoes off and flopped onto his bed and fell asleep, thinking of His teacher’s words and his seemingly
merciless brutality in his teaching.
Chapter2 / Level 1: Ones and Twos
Marco woke up late as usual. “Ah, Crap! I’m gonna be late again!” he cried, throwing his Training
robe over his shoulders and running out the door, completely forgetting his equipment that he
needed for the day. He charged into the room, the master looked at him closely.
“You’re late… I should punish you. Good thing I don’t feel like it. Take your seat.” Mr.Windu said
calmly, smirking slightly.
Marco walked back to his seat, shaking slightly as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.
“Now, Back to Teaching. A half is one of two equal pieces of one item. For example, the table from
yesterday.” He continued lifting the severed table from the corner, the student called Charles
looking faint once again. “Now, if we put the two pieces back together. It would create the
2. wholeTable once again. Now, I have set up training droids specialised for this class. You all have your
Training Lightsabers, and I would like you to slice your individual droids into halves.”
(Mini-Game Tutorial)
“Now remember, Halves are two equal parts of something. Cut the droid in anyway you like, but
make sure the pieces are equal, and therefore are proper halves.”
(Wrong)
“Not like that, remember. You need to cut it into twoequal pieces.”
(Correct 1st and 2nd times)
“Very good, now again.”
(Correct 3rd time)
“Good job, you can stop now.”
(Back to classroom)
“Very good my Pupils, Put the droids away and I’ll teach you more tomorrow. For now, we’ll move
onto the next fraction. Quarters. Like halves, they are equal pieces of one whole, not in two pieces,
but four.
