I have chosen for you this article about Iraqi genius architect, the late Zaha Hadid,
which is published in the book titled What do you know about Dar al-Ma’moon of
the Iraqi Ministry of Culture? hoping you will enjoy reading it.
POSTSCRIPT: One would expect Iraq’s Ministry of Culture to be
thrilled about these four great books and to award them its full attention
and does its best to shed light on them. But in the light of the current
political situation in Iraq, where party and bloc mean everything, all these
books are ignored as if they do not exist. The previous minister of culture
admired one of them but did nothing to get them in the spot, so any
reference to him was removed from one of these books before being
reprinted. This must teach some people a lesson, or does it?!

THE SUDDEN DEATH OF AN IRAQI WOMAN WHO
ASTOUNDED THE WORLD'S ARCHITECTS
"Dame Zaha Hadid (31 October 1950 - 31 March 2016) was the uncrowned
queen of contemporary iconic architecture. Her buildings practically scream,
'I'm a Hadid!' A bona fide autrice, Hadid was without a doubt the world's most
famous woman in a starchitect stratosphere strangely dominated by her
masculine peers," wrote Martin Søberg once.
aha Hadid (pronounced "Hadeed" )حديد is an Iraqi architect and a genius like
no other, a well-known name in her profession. She was one of the world's
most prominent engineering architects and a creative designer of our time.
Born in 1951 in Baghdād, she is the daughter of former finance Minister
Mohammed Hadid who was born in Mosul and lived from 1907 - 1999 and
was famous for his experience in Iraqi
economy during the period from 1958 -
1963. Zaha Hadid earned her B.A. degree in
mathematics from the American University
in Beirut in 1971 and a medal of
appreciation from the British Queen as some
images here show you. She graduated from
the Architectural Association (AA) in 1977
and joined the Architecture College in 1987
as a tutor and as a visitor in many
universities in Europe and the United States
such as Harvard, Chicago, Hamburg, Ohio,
