Jesus did not just come to save us from our
sins; He came to make us SONS OF GOD!

NEW CREATION
=NEW SPECIES OF BEING
= NEWNESS IN TYPE & QUALITY
= A NEW TYPE OF PERSON
ONE OF A KIND THAT NEVER EXISTED BEFORE!!!
NOT SUBJECT TO SATAN
GOT HIS LIFE STRAIGHT FROM GOD
CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS
DOESN’T MATTER HOW HE LOOKS ON THE OUTSIDE
HE HAS THE NATURE & RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

NEW NATURE
NOT A HUMAN NATURE!
NOT A PLANT NATURE!
NOT A DOG NATURE!
WHAT MAKES A MAN BORN AGAIN
IS THE LIFE AND NATURE OF GOD HE RECEIVES.
TO BE BORN AGAIN IS A MIRACLE!!!

THE CHRISTIAN
IS A NEW CREATION

BORN OF GOD
That if you confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus
and
believe in your heart that
God has raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved.
Romans 10:9 KJV

THE FAMILY OF GOD
From whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:15
All who believed in Him in the past,
those who believe in Him now,
and those who will in future.
God is the Father of every believer: this makes all Christians,
brethren (brothers and sisters). You are therefore part of God’s
family.

THE ORIGIN OF SIN
THROUGH ADAM:
His disobedience in the Garden of Eden caused the death nature of Satan to enter into all
men.
Genesis 2:17, NIV: "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die. '"
“…sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this
way death came to all people, because all sinned”—Romans 5:12

THE ORIGIN OF SIN
FROM THEN, SIN BECAME THE NATURE OF MAN.
THAT MEANS MAN DOES NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO BE A
SINNER.
PEOPLE SIN BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE NATURE OF SIN IN THEM! WOW!
…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 3:23
THAT IS WHY JESUS HAD TO BE BORN OF A VIRGIN
Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with
sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting
us out of trouble, he got us into life! One man said no to God and put many people in
the wrong; one man said yes to God and put many in the right.
Romans 5:18-19 MSG

THE ORIGIN OF SIN
14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses,
even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who
is a pattern of the one to come.
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of
the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the
grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
Romans 5:14-17

QUESTION TIME
• 1. The Bible says you are born of God, this
means you have the exact kind of relationship
Jesus had with God. How true is this?

SALVATION BY GRACE
Salvation is by GRACE:
you do not have to do
anything to attain it. It is
a gift from God.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO
IS RECEIVE IT BY FAITH

IT’S NOT A MATTER OF
FEELINGS!!!!!!
Two key ways of knowing we are saved:
1) THE WORD
Assurance of SALVATION
That if you confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus

THE ONLY IMPORTANT TESTIMONY IS THE ONE
GOD GIVES CONCERNING US!!!!!!
2) THE WITNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Assurance of SALVATION
Romans 8:16, NIV: "The Spirit himself testifies
with our spirit that we are God's children."
Romans 8:16,
NLT: "For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm
that we are God's children."

REMISSION
FOR THE UNREGENERATE
UNREGENERATE: Someone who is not yet born again
(an unbeliever, a sinner)
REMISSION: The actual washing away of sins in such a way
that the sin never even existed before.
This is being born again.
When a sinner comes to Christ, he does not receive
forgiveness, he gets his sins remitted to be born again.
Matthew 26:28 “For this is my blood of the New
Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of
sins”

FORGIVENESS
FOR THE
CHRISTIANS
If (NOT when) a
Christian sins, he needs
to be truly sorry,
ask God to forgive him
and receive God’s
forgiveness.

REMISSION belongs
to the unbeliever

Christians.

SPIRIT,
SOUL & BODY
MAN is a spirit
He has a soul
He lives in a body

SPIRIT
The spirit is
the REAL MAN: that being that communicates and
responds to God.
The spirit gives
life to the body and
can be made to have dominion over
the soul and body
1 Corinthians 6:17, NIV: "But whoever is united with the Lord is
one with him in spirit."
1 Corinthians 6:17, KJV: "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one
spirit."

SPIRIT
The human body that houses a man is NOT
the person.
The real person is the spirit, the one that
gets born again.
Your spirit is ALIVE to God.
Just as your body needs food to grow, your
spirit, too, needs food to grow healthy and
strong.
THE FOOD OF THE SPIRIT IS
THE WORD OF GOD
MATT. 4:4
Man
LIVE ON BREAD ALONE.
BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT COMES
from the mouth of God

THE FRUIT OF THE RECREATED
HUMAN SPIRIT
Galatians 5:22-23
NIV
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.

Christian has the fruit of

SOUL
The soul is the mind:
where emotions, will, feelings, thinking
are.
It is the window between the body and
spirit.
Romans 12:1-3 NIV
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of
God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,
holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper
worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
As we take out the old information we had before we got saved
and put new ones in from the Word of God,
our lives will be transformed

BODY
… the house in which
the spirit man lives. It
is what gives us the
ability to live and
function on the earth

BODY
The Need for Self-Discipline
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NIV
24 Do you not know that in a race all the
runners run, but only one gets the prize?
Run in such a way as to get the prize.
25 Everyone who competes in the games
goes into strict training. They do it to get
a crown that will not last, but we do it to
get a crown that will last forever.
26 Therefore I do not run like someone
running aimlessly; I do not fight like a
boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow
to my body and make it my slave so that
after I have preached to others, I myself
will not be disqualified for the prize.

QUESTION TIME
1. How will I be continually assured of my
salvation despite what I feel?
2. Ricky is feeling condemned and guilty because
he committed a sin, what should he do as a
child of God?
3. How is remission of sin different from
forgiveness of sin?

HOMEWORK
SPEAK:
I am a new creation.
I may look the same outside but the truth is that I am completely new inside,
in my spirit. Therefore, I now live my life from the inside.
I have the divine nature of God in my spirit.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
SCRIPTURE FOR MEDITATION:
Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away
and all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

NEW CREATION REALITIES
The new creation is the man born anew in Christ.
He is transformed by the renewal of his mind through the Word of God.
He is required to put down and bring under control his body by doing God’s
Word.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Colossians 2:9-10 KJV
9 For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; 10 so you have everything when
you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ.
He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power

There is nothing that a believer needs that he does not already have in Christ. All
of God’s goodness dwells in Jesus and the believer is complete in Him

6 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. John3:16 KJV
Eternal life is not just life without end.
It is the very life of God that makes Him God.
This life is in Jesus and if we have Jesus,
we have this life. We have God in us.

22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to
the city of the living God, the heavenly
Jerusalem. You have come to thousands
upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,
23 to the church of the firstborn, whose
names are written in heaven. You have
come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits
of the righteous made perfect,
24 to Jesus the mediator of a new
covenant, and to the sprinkled blood
that speaks a better word than the
blood of Abel.
Hebrews 12:22-24
Believers are from Zion. Zion is where God is. A place of rest, a place of all
possibilities.

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power
to us-ward who believe, according to the working
of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him
from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in
the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might,
and dominion, and every name that is named, not
only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Ephesians 1:19-21
As believers, we sit in a place of power with God. When we decree a thing, it
comes to pass. Our words are powerful. They cause situations to change.

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory
Colossians 1:27
Every believer carries God in him
because His nature is in us. When
people are looking for God, they
Should see Him in us. We reflect
the glory and personality of
God.

We are God’s outstretched arm.
We represent Him to the world.
Where they need healing from God,
we lay our hands,
Where salvation is needed,
we preach the Word.
