Fossil fuels are formed over millions of years from the remains of dead plants and organisms underground. They include coal, oil and natural gas, which are non-renewable resources that are found worldwide but take a very long time to form. Once used, fossil fuels cannot be replaced, so their heavy usage contributes to both dwindling supplies and environmental pollution from emissions.

2. What are fossil fuels?
Fossil fuels are formed from dead plants

last thousands of years. It can take up to 650
million years to be formed! They are non-
renewable because once you’ve used them
you cannot use them again, this results in
why we have less fossil fuels and we might
run out of them if we don't be careful about
how much we use. It also destroys our
environment by polluting the world!

Fossil fuels are found underground on continents,
islands, and under ocean and sea beds all around the
world.
