In California, taxpayers who are unable to file their state income tax returns by the original due date can request an extension of time to file. Which can be obtained from the California Tax Extension 2023. The form must be filed by the original due date of the tax return. The extension allows taxpayers to file their tax returns up to six months after the original due date.
