1 Thess. 5:16 commands that we should "Rejoice Evermore." Being joyous is directly related to how we perceive the circumstances surrounding us. No matter what happens - good or bad - we must see everything as the will of God and continue to give Him thanks always. This is the secret of being joyous.

On Memorial Day 2018 Reborn Ministries was given another opportunity to come alongside Oasis of Tampa Bay in the City-Wide Pentecost Celebration at Water Works Park in Tampa. Oasis has organized this annual event for several years and through this venue they present believers of numerous denominations the opportunity to set aside their denominational differences, theologies and doctrines as we lift our voices and worship and praise our King and dance for Him. Reborn Ministries provided a mobile baptismal system and a mobilized a small team of God lovers who walked the crowded sidewalks and grassy fields to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with strangers. We witnessed Holy Spirit touching hearts, impacting lives and we even experienced a few healings taking place through our prayers. Our hearts swelled as we observed our heavenly Father demonstrating His love as the peace, Joy and happiness that can only come from Him overwhelmed people and moved them to tears.

This is the slide show I put together to honor my grandfather. It was presented at his funeral ceremony. We all miss him so very much. I wish I could have included pictures of everybody in the family, but these were the ones I had in my possession. If you knew him, you would know what an incredible man he was. He will forever be with us...in spirit, and in memory.
A look at good works during the Thanksgiving season as a means for giving thanks and giving back in order to make a difference and make an impact on others.

"Axing the Root of Bitterness" from Hebrews 12:12-15.
I'm convinced that most of us, at one time or another, have had someone that we have fallen out with. There have been times when anger has filled our hearts, & we felt that we would never be able to forgive & forget.
Maybe it was a brother or sister, a parent, someone at school, a business partner, a neighbor, or simply an acquaintance.
I don't know how many times I have had to ask for forgiveness, or that I have been forgiven. But there is nothing that will take the load off, nothing that will help you more, than the burden of bitterness being taken off of your heart. As someone has said, "To forgive is to live."
Jesus teaches us, "To fail to forgive is to block the flow of God's blessings." Jesus said in Matthew 18:35 "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."
When there is harshness, resentment, a spirit of retaliation or bitterness, this attitude becomes a dam, an obstacle to the grace of God so that it just simply cannot flow through our hearts.
Where there is bitterness and hatred , there is "No place for Grace"

Evangelism? It is to present Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to sinful people, in order that they may come to put their trust in Christ. Is communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In this second of four sessions of our “Being and Making Disciples” workshop held in Sacele on September 1,2012 we answered the question “How Did I Begin to Disciple Someone?. We started by looking at things we should take into consideration even before we start discipling someone like how we should model Jesus, the importance of focusing on relationships and the goal of what we do in discipleship. We then went on to look at five key things we should do to help those we are discipling to get off to a good start.
Understanding the Bible is essentially not different from how we understand things in everyday life. This lesson uses the example of making a cake to teach the basics of understanding authority: statements, examples, inferences, and the importance of respecting silence. Connection; Why Does it Matter?
Week 1, Feb 2nd, Hans Rasmussen
Not everyone understands connection and sometimes that is because they don’t see its value. And initially, it can be difficult to explain its importance. Yet, over time any social group- weather it is family, community or work- the lack of connection takes its toll as those social groups that lack connection begin to falter or fall a part. This series will begin by trying to explain why connection is important and what its role is for creating legacy.

The pressure to begin preparing for Christmas is already mounting - the shopping, the decorating, the making of plans for traveling or hosting. But what if we lingered a little longer and pondered a bit more on the heart of Thanksgiving before dodging headlong into Christmas? What might we learn? How might we benefit? And how might an enhanced level of gratitude serve you well though the Christmas season? Listen in to find out.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

3. Mark 2:22
And no one pours new wine into
old wineskins. Otherwise, the
wine will burst the skins, and both
the wine and the wineskins will be
ruined. No, they pour new wine
into new wineskins.
4. Reasons to focus on
the mission
Jesus commanded it.
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in
heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to
the very end of the age.
5. Go and make
disciples
Go—poreouō—to pursue the journey on
which one has entered, to continue on
one’s journey; to traverse, i.e. travel or go,
take a journey
make disciples—mathēteuō—to follow
one’s precepts and instructions; to teach,
instruct
6. Reasons to focus on
the mission
Jesus is on the battlefield.
2 Timothy 2:3-4
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ
Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in
civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his
commanding officer.
7. Reason to focus on
the mission
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes
on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the
earth.
9. What shall we do?
Evaluate:
1. What aspects of your life are you doing well with
regard to the mission?
2. What aspects of your life are you not doing well with
regard to the mission?
3. What practical steps can you take beginning tonight?
10. Reasons to focus on
the mission
• People are dying.
• You were created for this mission.
• The mission provides financial security.
• This is the path to a happy marriage.
• God’s mission is bigger than your marriage.
• The return of Christ compels us.
