This document provides guidelines for footwear sellers to reduce shipping costs by optimizing primary packaging dimensions. Sellers will be charged shipping fees based on volumetric weight or actual weight, whichever is higher. The document recommends reducing packaging dimensions like length, breadth and height to lower the volumetric weight and thereby reduce shipping rates. 2. Sellers will be charged shipping fee on Volumetric weight or Dead
weight
whichever is higher for verticals to which zero commission is applicable,
as this is how our logistic partners actually calculate the weight of
shipment
Sellers will not be able to charge shipping fee from customers,
as it will be made zero in the system and sellers will not be able to edit it
Example :
Volumetric calculation for a box of
Length 30cm , Breadth 15cm , Height 10cm would be taken as
(30*20*15) divided by 5000 = 9000/5000 = 1.8 Kgs
