The document discusses the birth and mission of Jesus Christ based on biblical passages. It describes how John the Baptist was called by God to prepare people for Jesus' coming. His mission was to turn people to God and accept God's wisdom. After his resurrection, Jesus gave his followers the mission to make disciples of all nations by baptizing them and teaching them to obey Jesus' commands. As John the Baptist prepared for Jesus' first coming, Christians have the mission to prepare for his second coming. The document encourages reflection on this mission as we celebrate Christmas.

Water Into Wine (John 2-11) Bible Study | A (Messianic) Taste of What's To ComeDanny Scotton, Jr.
I argue that Jesus is giving a messianic taste of what's to come. As one scholar notes, "He changes water of Judaism into the wine of Christianity" (Morris, 155).In doing so, He gives a preview of the new messianic wine (Jer 31:12; Joel 3:18; Amos 9:13-14; Is 25:6; Hos 14:7). and the messianic wedding/wedding banquet (OT: Hos 2:19f.; Is 54:4-8; Is 62:5; NT: Mt 22:1f., Mt 25:1f.; Mk 2:19-20; Rev 19:7-9; Eph 5:25) -- which, in the end times, will be enjoyed by all who put their faith (i.e., active trust) in Christ (cf. Jn 3:16. etc).

Series – the ghos ts of christmas past – part 4 sorrows - sunday 12-20-15LifePointe Church
This is Part 4 of Pastor Chuck Bernal’s 2015 Christmas message series titled, “The GHOSTs Of Christmas Past”. “GHOSTs” is an acronym for: GUILT, HOPELESSNESS, OFFENSE, SORROWS, THREATS. This message discussed the differences between JOY and HAPPINESS and how we can have real JOY because of Christmas - even when we face problems in life. The main point of the message is contained in this statement: JOY IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF PROBLEMS AND PAIN BUT THE PRESENCE OF GOD’S PEACE AND POWER IN OUR LIVES! This message was delivered on Sunday, December 20, 2015.
The power of faith is manifested within you, when you submit to the will of God, when you understand and accept that everything is subject to the authority of Jesus and when your trust in your heavenly Father, makes you not to fear adversity.
Let’s do what Jesus said in the Sermon of the Mount
Faced with so many currents, denominations, styles, traditions, cultures and customs, it is difficult to know who is doing what is right, according to the will of God, but Jesus clearly explained the basic principles we should follow as God's children, and that it is written in the Sermon on the Mount. You can meet, congregate and be a member of any denomination, organization, Ministry or Church, that accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, but make sure you only follow what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

1. December arrived with the holiday season. Six months before the birth of Jesus, John the Baptist was
born, he was selected by God and filled with the Holy Spirit even before birth. His Mission was to
prepare people for the coming of the Lord Jesus, making people turn to the Lord their God, causing
those who were rebellious, to accept the wisdom of God. Then, after His Resurrection and before His
Ascension, Jesus gave us, His followers the Mission to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and to teach these new disciples to obey
all the commands that Jesus gave us. As Juan Bautista Mission was preparing the first coming of
Jesus, we have the mission of preparing His second coming. We are beginning the month that
celebrates the birth of Jesus, let us seize this time to reflect on our Mission. Merry Christmas.
2. Speaking as a Christian? or Living as Christians! John the Baptist went from place to place, preaching
that people should repent of their sins and turn to God. This was his campaign: Prepare the way for
the Lord ’s coming! Clear the road for him! The valleys will be filled, and the mountains and hills
made level. The curves will be straightened, and the rough places made smooth. And then all people
will see the salvation sent from God. When the crowds came to John for baptism, he said: Prove by
the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. We read this in the Gospel
of Luke Chapter 3. The salvation sent from God is in Jesus and we celebrate his birth this month.
Let's show by the way we life, that we believe in the meaning of his birth. That's the best birthday
gift we can give Him. Merry Christmas.
Feliz Navidad.
4. Let's have a Christmas focused on Jesus. We always ask our Father in Heaven, that His Kingdom
comes to us. The Kingdom of God comes to us when His Spirit lives in us and produces love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. However, we can
not experience the fruit produced by the Spirit of God in us, if we focus on a frenetic race of
activities and shopping. Let us enjoy the beauty and presence of Jesus, because He is the light
that God sent into the world to enlighten our hearts. May Jesus bring us this Christmas, all the
good things produced by the presence of His Spirit in us and let us ask Him to live in our hearts
forever.
5. Thank you Jesus: You were born two millennia ago in a manger in Bethlehem and I want to thank
you for coming to earth to live as one of us and suffer all things you suffered to get us to know the
love of our heavenly Father. I also want to thank you for dying for me, so I could be reconciled with
our Father and gain eternal life in Heaven. I now accept You as my Savior. Please forgive me all my
faults and may I get to know You and love You in a deep and personal way. Take control of my life
and make me the person You want me to be. Amen. Merry Christmas to all.
6. The Prophecy Was Fulfilled. Isaiah prophesied the birth of Jesus, seven centuries before it happened. He
said: The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep
darkness, a light will shine. That light will give you prosperity and happiness, will break the yoke of your
slavery and lift the heavy burden from your shoulders and will give you peace. For a child is born to you,
a son is given to you. The government will rest on his shoulders, and he will be called: Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s
Armies will make this happen! (Isaiah 9:2-7). Seven hundred years later, this prophecy was fulfilled with
the birth of Jesus, which we celebrate in Christmas, because He is the Light that brought us out of the
darkness. Let's celebrate the birth of our Savior and Deliverer. Merry Christmas!
dijo: ¡Saludos, mujer favorecida! ¡El Señor está
contigo!
(Lucas 1:
26-38) Feliz Navidad Para Todos.
8. The Christmas truce was a series of widespread, unofficial ceasefires that took place along the Western
Front around Christmas 1914, during World War I. Parties of German and British soldiers began to
exchange seasonal greetings and songs between their trenches, and individuals would walk across to talk
to their opposite numbers. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, many soldiers from both sides mingled,
exchanging food and souvenirs, and several meetings ended in carol-singing. That is an extraordinary
example of how to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Let us follow their example and make
this Christmas a truce, that fills our minds and hearts with peace, covering all our family, social and work
relationships. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is the center and King this Christmas. May His Peace cover all of
us, our countries and the world. Amen. Merry Christmas.
10. Whose Party is This? Have you ever been to a party and do not know what they are celebrating? It is
highly unlikely. In Matthew we read that Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, and that by that time
some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking: Where is the newborn King of the Jews?
We saw his star as it rose and have come to worship him. When they arrived to where Jesus was, they
were filled with joy, entered the house and saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and
worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense and
myrrh. These wise men traveled thousands of miles, over several months, to see and worship Jesus. Today
we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but we forget Him. We do not worship Jesus, nor give Him any gifts. Those
wise men were able to discern the birth of the Messiah. However, today, do not understand the significance
of the date. This Christmas, let's change the paradigm, so that Jesus is the true center of Christmas. Also,
give Him the best gift, giving Him your heart.
11. No Christmas Truce: Two of today's headlines. 1) "Barrel bombs" just another symbol of brutality in Syrian
civil war (NBC News): In this war where children are being brutalized by both sides, "barrel bombs" have
become a trademark of the conflict. 2) Fighting spreads to near flashpoint South Sudan town (Reuters):
South Sudanese soldiers clashed on Wednesday near the flashpoint town of Bor in fighting that has spread
from the capital, raising fears of a broader civil conflict in the two-year-old nation. When we face conflicts,
Jesus says: Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! If you forgive those who sin against
you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Forgive others,
and you will be forgiven. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.
Let us ask Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to bring peace, this Christmas to these regions of the world, to all the
world and to our homes. Merry Christmas.
12. Do Not Confuse Fantasy With Reality. Jesus is the largest and most important gift we have received. We
read in John 3:16: For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone
who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Then, we read in Acts 5:31 that God put Jesus in
the place of honor at his right hand as Prince and Savior. Certainly, the Son of God who was born humbly
in a manger, is now the King of the Universe, the King of kings and Lord of lords. That is the importance
of Christmas, we celebrate the birth of the Supreme Ruler and Commander in Chief of the whole Universe.
Do not forget that our King died for us, so that we could have eternal life and Resurrected from the dead,
to be King. No other tradition or human invention, can steal the true meaning of Christmas. Let us
celebrate the birth of the King whom we love because He first loved us. Merry Christmas to Everybody!
13. This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be
married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin,
she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, her fiancé, was
a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the
engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in
a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as
your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will
have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their
sins.” All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: “Look!
The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him
Immanuel, which means: God is with us.” When Joseph woke up, he did as the
angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife. At that time the Roman
emperor, Augustus, decreed that a census should be taken throughout the Roman
Empire. All returned to their own ancestral towns to register for this census. And
because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in
Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in
Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancée, who was now obviously pregnant. And
while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her
first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a
manger, because there was no lodging available for them. And Joseph named him
Jesus. Matthew 1:18-25 y Luke 2:1-7
14. What A Joy! There's good news that has been, is and will be, joy to all people. The Savior, the Messiah, the
Lord, was born two millennia ago in Bethlehem! Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to
those with whom God is pleased. This is how Lucas wrote this, in chapter 2 of his Gospel: That night there
were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord
appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the
angel reassured them: Don’t be afraid! he said. I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
The Savior, yes, the Messiah, the Lord, has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will
recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.
Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others, the armies of heaven, praising God and saying:
Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.
15. Peace To Whom? We had a very nice Christmas
and we thank God for that. However, there are
places in the world where at this time, there was
confrontation and war. In those places, soldiers
and people from the general population, passed
this season, surrounded by clashes and attacks,
which produce physical and emotional wounds. It
seems that war is part of our past, present and
future. In fact, it's part of what the prophecies
reveal. Our only option facing this terrible reality
is to pray. Let's pray for those affected by war,
for the elderly and children who suffer, for those
who lost loved ones. Jesus said that God blesses
those who work for peace, for they shall be called
the children of God and He also said that He gave
us a gift: peace of mind and heart. Let's ask
Jesus, the Prince of Peace, that the peace which
the world can not give, He gives it to those who
suffer the consequences of war, so that they have
peace in their hearts and minds. John 14:27 and
16:33.
16. Jesus, Where Are You? What Do You think? Jesus is
always with you. Do You Believe That? If you do,
you should never feel like a victim or think that you
have no ability to solve problems. If Jesus is always
by your side to guide you, nothing is impossible
and you should never stop fighting or give up.
Much less should you grumble about your situation
or blame others for your unhappiness. Do not
forget who is next to you. Jesus gave his life for
you and promised to be with you always, to the
end. You are never alone and abandoned, because
you are very special to Jesus, who loves you
deeply. Every day and in every situation you should
say: Jesus, I trust you! Ask Him which is His plan
for you. He is always by your side to guide you and
lead you to fulfill your purpose and your destiny in
life. Jesus said: If you trust me, you are trusting
not only me, but also God who sent me (John 12:
44). He also said: Don’t let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God, and trust also in me (John 14:1).
17. Happy New Year 2014: The Lord says: If you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will
be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs
to me. And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation. Exodus 19:5-6
