Various instruments accompany different regional folk music styles. Some examples described are Rabindra Sangeet folk songs of Bengal, Bihu folk songs and instruments of Assam celebrated during Bihu festival, energetic Dandiya music and dance of Gujarat accompanied by sticks, Lavani songs and dance of Maharashtra performed to drum beats, and Bhangra music and dance from Punjab traditionally done by farmers in celebration.
