Folk DC is a European Union project aimed at young language learners, utilizing folk songs from 10 European languages for cultural and linguistic education. The project provides a toolkit and resources for teachers, promoting digital skills and cultural awareness among students through engaging activities and collaborative performances. It features songs and concerts, fostering interest in less commonly taught languages and the musical traditions of Europe.

and anticipation of the fair and all its attractions coming to town.

Lempon koira is an ancient Finnish ‘Kalevala’ metrical chant. There are many onomatopoeic
uses in the song. This traditional way of singing has changed in the last two centuries. It is still
a living tradition in lullabies, and songs for children's games. It was sung around the Tampere
Region of Finland.
